Hard to see how they werent getting it done. Yeah one bronze in seoul and they were cheated out of the gold in 72 against the ussr. other than that they received gold and went undefeated. at this point the 2004 'dream team' can at best hope for bronze

Yeah, and bronze is unacceptable for USA basketball, that's the bottom line. "Getting it done" = Gold Medal and nothing less.
