Seattle on the rise? I'm thinking the exact opposite. They've lost McMillan, Daniels, and James, and have nothing in return to show for it.

The Sonics obviously overachieved last season. I'm looking for them to tank big time next season, much like the Wolves did last year.

    you didn't read it carefully:
    Teams on the slide

    Seattle SuperSonics

Who's gone: Starting center Jerome James (Knicks) and sixth man Antonio Daniels (Wizards).

What's left: Starting power forward Reggie Evans, reliable scorer Vladimir Radmanovic and promising shooting guard Ronald Murray are uncommitted free agents and could also be moving on to new teams.

What's next:Ray Allen re-upped, but it is going to be very difficult for the Sonics to repeat last season's success.

IMO, the Western Conf overall got a bet weaker (Suns are slightly worse, Sonics as well, maybe even Dallas, the rest didn't change much). However, the Lakers are probably better, as well as the Clippers.

IMO, the biggest improvement has been in the Eastern Conf, there are a few teams there that really got better this off-season. So I think if anything, the East is quickly gaining on the West as far as talent is concerned, although not quiet there yet.

A healthy Sura can give us 10-15 pts consistently 35 mpg. Mike J can score too, say 10pts 25 mpg. If these two plus D.Wes if not traded, can give us 20 some a night when healthy. We should be in good shape. The problem is their defense, lack of speed to match quick guards and inability to bring the ball up when pressured. Also health. We need a PG for those reasons, not because they lack offense.

True. If he was really 6'11" then he had incredibly short arms.
