Hill can help take minutes and give us a speedy center but we need Miller time.

Once he gets the Chuck Hayes "How to play D at C 101" tutorial he will be alright.

I agree. You look at his frame and you know he could add on at least 10 more pounds.

Yup, for experience to show the big guys how to play adlemans offense. Also for his shooting touch and to give Yao even more rest when he needs it.

I think if we're gonna keep Hill on the Rockets, there's no point in having him stay on at PF. I mean, we've got Scola now and Patterson locked up for a while back there, and face it, Hill will never have the quickness to match even half of the starting PF's in the NBA.

But at C he's intriguing. He's got enough height and size to bang down low and quickness that exceeds all C's not named Dwight Howard or Chris Bosh (LOL that scrub has to play C now). Basically what I'm saying is, his ceiling is higher at center, and if he does pan out wouldn't you want for him to pan out in a way that we could actually find useful? If he doesn't he doesn't. No biggie. We just dump him after next year or the year after.

Huh? Hill may be the best running big we have on the team. Quickness is a MAJOR strength.
He needs lower body strength to hold his spot in the paint,
To be a better team defender,
And develop a plan on offense whether it’s in the post or facing up.
His game is a mess, all athleticism and no plan on offense or defense.
The Rockets coaches can help but he's got to put in the work.

No, screw Miller. He isn't going to get us any closer to beating top tier teams, so he would be a waste of money. Just let Hill and PP back up Yao so they get more minutes and will develop. It would be such a waste to give those minutes to an old Miller.

Are you serious??!! We would get destoyed all season in the paint when Yao is out. Hill and Pat are not centers in the league, they are 4's. Forcing them to play center would only increase their risks of injury. Brad Miller is a center who would be able to start in the event that Yao gets hurt. Haven't you been watching the SL? Hill was getting pushed around all 5 games.

Agreed, you can go with your young guys against certain people but it would not hurt to have a veteran presence anchoring center. Besides if we sign Miller its going to be strickly vet min money and probably not over multiple years.

Let's say we get Miller, who's going to be Scola's primary backup? Hayes, PP or Hill?

After reading this article I was upset because it seems every year we always putting faith in a player that just came off a injury or some guys that are rookies or just played 1-2 years hoping they become a all star. That stops us from focusing on championship. We need that again in Houston.
