Gist has been hilariously quotable ever since Spree signed him. You can find some gems from Sam Cassell.

That said, a end-of-the-line Spree would be (IMO) an upgrade over our end-of-the-line Wesley, DA, and Barry models. Deal one of them (Wesley?) for Latrell, and I'm happy.

You are living in the past. Spree used to be really really good. He had a poor season last year and has been inactive this season. I assume he has been working out, but he is unlikely to be in game shape. I honestly doubt he is an upgrade over anyone we have. He is another over-the-hill player. Plus he has a reputation for disruption. He is no answer for this team.

Spree or Person are the only guys there that interest me. Spree does lots of things on the court well and Person can still hit the 3. SVG and Person certainly didn't work out last year so I see him with JVG as very remote.

I'd take Spree but it is a good thing we can only offer the min because I wouldn't want him for much $ and certainly 2 year deal at the most.

I consider actually trading Alston for him in a two year deal primarily to shorten the years of money now owed to Alston.

Head is our most valuable guard at this point. Any other guard except Luther I would consider a S&T with Spree for.

if we are speaking on terms that have nothing to do with their contract sizes would you still take spree over alston?

if it was pure basketball skills alone, id take spree any day over any of our gaurds other than alston, and maybe a healthy sura.

I'm living in the present. Our perimeter play stinks.

    To Mr. Sprewell,

Please spend more time to think for a way to feed your family than helpin other teams to win championship.

    Your sincere,
    JL Wee

I like Rodney White. Give me the player who is actually offensively gifted, that has good size, that has plenty of time to develop into a better all-around player.

Wait.. isn't this old news? Detroit/Denver tried to sign him in the off-season. All it says is the Rockets contacted him also, doesn't say when -- I assume in the offseason. And that quote from his agent was from the offseason too..
