Netanyahu needs to finish the job and eradicate Hamas. Then he can retire.

WTF are you talking about. The president has the legal authority to fire any federal employee. Federal employees are at will employees according to the Supreme Court. Seriously STFU you're a effin idiot who pretends to be smart.

Save me with the founding fathers horseshit. The majority of founding fathers had slaves and were strictly against banning the practice. I love when right wing talk about founding fathers as if they're mesiahs from God.

Donald trump hand installed every branch of law enforcement while he was president. Nobody feels an Oz of sympathy for your dipshit conspiracies about how the deep state ruled over trump

Trump IS the deep state and you're a dipshit

He (Biden) has - to the surprise of many, largely stood his ground on a lot of international issues, and that includes Israel.

This stuff is far more a shade of grey than black and white.

First, yes the John Birch Society was (and it actually still exists) and is an extreme Right-Wing group and thankfully their long term damage to the USA is limited. Having said that, Communists did support the Civil Rights Movement based on it causing social chaos and because socialists supported removing social status based on race or class or gender. Also - there were a number of socialists, or those sympathetic to the socialist agenda that were involved in The Civil Rights Movement. I would say that it is also difficult to blame black Americans for having sympathies for Socialists, as black Americans were not treated well (still are not) and Socialists would typically stand up for social equality in that situation.

As for the BLM, the founders are socialists - they are political extremists, and they also were scamming people out of money.

The John Birch Society doesn't go far enough in 2024.... they also are full of 80 year olds that talk about the good ole times.

'Overthrow' and 'coup' are too strong for what is being proposed here. Netanyahu's party holds a minority of the parliament and made a deal with a couple other parties to cobble a majority to put Netanyahu in power. It sounds like the proposal would be to put the coalition parties into conflict so that one breaks off and the politicians have to find a new majority with potentially a different leader. 'Coup' or 'overthrow' suggests we were throwing out not just the old leadership but the old government structure. In this case, their parliament remains whole and the parliamentary system is intact, but they're incentivized to pick a new leader among themselves. That doesn't sound like a big deal to me, and not nearly as bad as what we've done to others in the past.

He's got open indictments against him for corruption so his retirement isn't looking so good. All of those charges carry pretty hefty jail sentences. In fact, staying in power as PM is likely his only way to stay out of jail because the Knesset passed a law that basically requires a supermajority vote to declare that he's no longer PM (and it pre-empted the Supreme Court from making a declaration of incapacity).

Ironically, its in his interest not to finish this war. The reality is that he'll almost certainly lose the next election and as a private citizen, he'll almost certainly lose in court and get jailed. His best bet is Trump winning to give him cover to run a long term war/occupation of Gaza while he convinces his narrow coalition to grant him some kind of permanent immunity from prosecution (along with the other judicial reforms that would allow him to pack the courts).

Trump winning is likely. And it would be best for Israel. So even though I don't like Trump, I hope it happens.

I do also care about Ukraine. I can't read Trump on Ukraine. A lot of what he does is posturing. I trust in Trump having better people around him than Biden does.

Fortunately Trump has a nearly spotless record on selecting advisors, lawyers, cabinet positions...really everything.

Trump only picks the best. A true luminary in picking the best with ethics and expertise.

The proper response that I believe would be fully bi-partisan is if Congress passes an aid bill, of any amount, whatever percentage of Americans vote Democrat, that percent of the bill would go to fund Hamas to 'protect' it self, like wise for the Republicans and Isreal. Any third party votes would leave the funding domestically to help with problems here.
