US politics is very volatile right now and the short term and intermediate term economic outlook is chaotic at best. I wouldn’t rule out almost anyone of any fame being President. As for El Salvador, they had literally 50 years of escalating violence from the civil war and the gang culture. I have concerns about civil rights issues there, but I don’t live there and can understand why those living there are glad that the murder rate has gone WAY down. The theft and sexual assault levels remain high, but gang violence is down like 95%. It took putting 4% of all El Salvadoran men in prison but so be it.
