I think I posted a video somewhere earlier in the thread - Mexico was actually the first target at one point but Mexico made some structural changes that allowed the Mexican army more lattitude to go after drug cartels and that destroyed the pretext that Trump had planned to use back in August so they shifted to Venezuela. But if Trump had had his way, Mexico would have been the target today. They'd already deployed marines to the border and had been doing drone recon of the border to select targets.
