Not sure if this was posted yet ... highlights from inter-team scrimmage. Durant with a couple nice buckets. Lebron with a monster swat on Kobe. But Kobe gets the last laugh. Check it out! <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/r85O_97xMpQ"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/r85O_97xMpQ" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
My first time seeing Durant in action against the pros. He looked pretty good and had a nice stat line.
Hey troll get off our board and go **** yourself. This board is for fans and people with at least half a brain clearly you fall into neither category.
My 12 in no particular order Jason Kidd Kobe Bryant Dwight Howard Deron Williams Carmelo Anthony Lebron James Kevin Durant Mike Miller Amare Stoudamire Tyson Chandler Chris Bosh Oden- isnt he supposed to be coming back from having his tonsils removed? I'd love to see him next to Dwight Howard on the front line.
Wow, how sad is it that our PF/C options consists Chandler, Howard, Amare, and Bosh. Not a single dominant low post. Is that because of FIBA rules that really mess up inside play like with Duncan? If we don't have a post presence, this team better be able to penetrate ungodly well. Because there's no way we're good enough to trade jumpshots with any of the top international teams.
Um okay, but I don't get how this negates the viewpoint that thus far Durant is looking like a better pick than Oden, which was my primary point. And as far as the superior talent comment, let's not forget those were some of the NBA's finest he was playing AGAINST as well. I don't think he deserves such a simple brushoff or attempts to discredit his ability... not yet anyway. He held his own against some future hall-of-famers and has yet to play one NBA regular season game, I guess due props are hard to come by these days.
His shooting stroke looked extremely smooth from the international 3 point line. There is a reason John Hollinger's draft analysis had Durant rated as the top prospect in the last 10 years. I'm starting to see more TMac in him that Garnett. However, I'm thinking he'll be a TMac/Larry Bird hybrid. More athletic than Bird but also less cerebral. A better rebounder and shooter than TMac but a little less athletic and less court vision. With his skills and competitive fire I wonder if he is the second coming. Until Lebron decides to focus on improving his jumpshot instead of his endorsement deals he won't reach that level.
Remember Hakeem, Shaq and Robinson on dream team 3? If USA had that front line it the next olympics it would be over already.
Hey Clutch- Change my status from "Contributing Member" to "Nostradamus", "Draft Guru", or whatever feels good.
KD is such a joke. 11-21, 7-8 FTs, 30 pts, 5 rebs, 4 dimes and several clutch 4th quarter shots in a road win against the Knicks. Who does this 19 year-old clown who has only played 23 NBA think he is?
