Donavon's problem in Germany wasn't his skill, it was that he couldn't stand to be away from his mamma. I think the same thing would have happened in any league outside of America.
How can you say Donovan is an average player?? He gave Germany as much problems in the '02 WC as any other player. Granted that he could be doing better league wise playing in Europe, but that's his choice. When it comes to the World Cup he has proven beyond a doubt that he is anything but average. Hell he scored more goals than the whole French team did in 2002!!!!! BTW who is going to start the OFFICIAL World Cup thread and when??? You might want to add that it's in Germany to eliminate probably the most asked question by non Futbol fans.
