so he should be required to predict how the war will affect market conditions as well?? and then tell how he others in the administration will gain from that??

how about others...normal joes..who've invested in energy companies?? should they be making the same disclosures before voting? maybe we won't count their votes....

Did you forget he has other family members.

Thats like asking a basketball player, why do you want a 50 million dollar contract instead of 30 millions.

No, it would be like a basketball player gambling on the sport with the risk that he gets kicked out forever. Sure, he could make some money, but if he gets caught he loses everything.

Anyways, I started this whole thing because I may know some things you guys dont. I was just trying to shed some light on people in the dark. Take it for what its worth. Believe it if you want or leave it alone. There is nothing I can do or say that would change your mind.

I wont be posting anymore today. I know that will leave you guys bored to death.

If you knew anything about the oil industry, you would never have made this statement. Lets pretend for a minute that there is no conflict in Iraq. Very few US oil companies lift Iraqi cargos as it stands now. Any company who does, in fact, lift Iraqi cargos now is selling it to anyone who is anyone is the oil industry. There are millions every day being made off of these cargos because they are not easy to buy. Why? Because its very tough for some companies to import Iraqi crude. In addition, many of the government owned oil companies (ie. Pemex, Trintoc etc) will only do business with you if you show up at their office with a large briefcase full of cash...supply and demand take over as well

Now lets fast forward to your scenario...the US takes over the Iraqi oil fields and helps make them profitable for the Iraqi people..all the while taking their kick backs because, hey, they didnt really mean it when he said that the oil was going to belong to the Iraqi people right? So now Bush and his crew are controlling the Iraqi oil market. well now, these public companies dont have to deal with Sadaam's boys, they deal with Bush's people, thus making it a little more palatable to investors when they read about it on Platts and Bloomberg. However, they will be paying more for the oil because Bush has to earn his vig. Now there is more oil floating through the NY Harbor than there is dead bodies. Supply and demand take over and you are back to square one.

If the Iraqis control the oil, believe it or not, it makes the industry thrive a little more.

Not to mention that oil companies are a lot more concerned these days with trading regulations and how they are reporting their term deals than who has access to iraqi crude thanks to Enron.

    No, im not agent x.

    And NJRocket, Im not 007.

As cool as that would be, Im not that person, not even close. So, to stop this name calling, let me give you some info. about myself.

My family is from Iran. A member on my mother's side of the family was the leader of Iran before Ayatollah Khomeini took over. Relations with Bush sr. were prevalent and contributions/donations were made to the republican party for years. Through these relations, members of my family are close to Bush Sr. Afterall, we are in Houston for a reason. As a result of all of this, I may know things that the avg. joe may not. Take it for what its worth.

MadMax, the reason I said "over and out" was to make fun of NJRocket.
