I know that the Israelis have a fair amount of US equipment (including Cobra attack helos - and yes, a handfull of Apaches), but the truth is that this is probably the last batch of equipment that they'll recieve from us, with the possible exception of the JSF. And everyone is going to get those. The Israelis will never buy another US tank or AIFV or APC. They make their own now. They will never buy another 6" SP Arty piece - they make their own now. They're even collaborating with Germany on a new MRL project, and will not get any more MLRS. They will probably get some JSFs, but so will everyone else (including virtually every Arab state except for Syria and Iran - and Iraq, until Saddam is gone). I find it odd that Arabs can complain that Israelis are using AH-64 helicopters and M-60A3 tanks against the Palestinians, yet at the same time their own governments are recieving more Apaches and better (M-1A1 Abrams) tanks than the Israelis have ever gotten, all the while that the Israelis are learning to make their own - without our help. Seems like we ought to tell the Israelis how to make Chobham armor for their Merkavas just to even the odds...
