I would LOVE to see the marketing materials and guarantees on the products they were selling.

    Can anyone find something?

The funny thing about it is they apparently had $400k with Bernie Madoff and his scam funds. Scammers scamming the scammers. lol.

Man, these guys heavily advertise in the medical/physician community in Houston. I remember my dad getting these invitations to these $100 dinners where you had to attend one of their presentations in order to get a free dinner at a really nice restaurant like Tony's.

Wow, from Downtown (Enron) to the Galleria in 8 years' time.

I'm kind of assuming that Stanford presumably didn't have the footprint that Enron did (as the biggest company in the biggest industry), and won't cripple too many other local businesses. But I'd be curious to hear otherwise from anyone in Houston's finance sector.

I guess we just can't make money without lyin', stealin' or $100 oil.

So were Enron and (Arthur) Andersen, once. Nothing like being a graduating Finance major in Fall of '01. Ironically enough, I interviewed twice with AA for non-accounting jobs before they vaporized into thin air; and actually still work at the old Enron subsidiary (NNG) that rescued me from a life in Walgreens retail management.

When I decided to leave Houston in 1998, I had offers to work for Enron in Houston, Worldcom in Tulsa, and Sabre in Dallas.... let's just say I lucked out and chose the right one. ;)

I have two friends that worked in IT there. I haven't had a chance to touch base with them. Though I had heard it was 'like a movie'.

Can you scan these? I'm really interested in how they were trying to sell these.
