Yep, and da#ned happy to be. It is SOOOOOOOOOOO much better than dating. Dating blows, but that is another thread. I would be more than happy to discuss it if you like, though.
I think there's a point that's being missed here... Even if she had told the officer who she was, he should have detained her. Why? Because it's a complete joke to think that we're securing our legislative buildings based on people recognizing the face of other people. Shouldn't the building be secured with access cards on locked doors and retinal and thumbprint scans? Personally, I find it scary to think that an enemy could get an imposter to walk into a legislative building so easily just by having someone that 'looks like' a congresswoman. No. Not only was he right to detain her, he should have detained her even if she stated who she was (if she didn't have her security access card). Poor cop gets in trouble for doing his job (and doing it well). I tell ya, if she HAD been an imposter, and if he had just let her walk in because he recognized her face, and if she had killed some people, the whole country would be cursing that cop for letting her in.
If the Capitol Police do not who the members of Congress are, then they are not doing their job, ya think? Since the Capitol Police are not doing their job, American soldiers are dying overseas. Remember these overseas enemies are zealots about tracking the minutia of American Politics in the news, looking for any sign of weakness here to trigger killing our soldiers over there. Think about it.
This whole thing is just a charade. The "security" measures you said above may stop r****ded maniacs, but they could hardly deter a sophisticated intruder. Think about it, if a criminal mastermind can come up with an imposter of a congressman, why can't he produce a fake ID? There is little doubt the congresswoman behaved inappropriately, but this whole thing is just blown out of silly proportion. In the end, no real harm, no real foul. Case closed. Move on.
Apparantly she hit the officer in the chest with her cell phone. She's street. Solodad O'Brein made her look like a fool during their interview. She avoided answering any questions and went with the blame game. Solodad is smoking.
Doyle confessed. This woman wants to set herself up above the law... and falsely construe it into a racist event. I heard a black lady cop on Boortz today say that she would have arm-barred her to the ground....
He did? So the commendation for the police isn't about the good job they did at all, but to embarrass a democratic congresswoman. Got it...
Now if only the Republicans can pass a commendation for their Ethics Committee on such a fine job they are doing policing themselves.
I'd say it is more to refute the false publicity she has generated by slamming the force that serves to protect her safety on several national programs. I haven't seen any of the shows myself but I'm quite sure that Ms. McKinney has made it quite clear that she is a dolt. I have no doubt however that there is some political piling-on afoot...
Scalia gives the finger: democrats cry outrage and try to smear conservatives, republicans say they are overblowing the situation and just using it for political sniping. D. Congresswoman hits a police officer: republicans cry outrage and try to smear liberals, democrats say they are overblowing the situation and just using it for political sniping. the circle of life continues.
I never would have considered you even if I went that way. The two things I look for in a life-mate is someone who is highly intelligent and someone who is able to grasp reality, two areas you are seriously deficient in based on your posts here.
