No offense taken, Sishir. If you don't know why I would prefer to remain anonymous as a member of a BBS with damn near 40,000 members and countless others who read it, I'm not sure I could say anything that would make a difference. I have a significant other who has a rather important position related to the state, but I would be this way if she didn't exist. This isn't a "little Rockets site' any longer. We don't have a relatively close knit community with around 3,000 members and a fraction of those posting like "in the old days" when I joined, or fewer than that when I started lurking in the Spring of 1998. This is now a monster that blows my mind when I consider how Clutch manages to keep things under control, despite everything. I'll send Clutch a check and he can forward the bread to help R2K, who I consider a good friend, even if we've never met. That was a good suggestion. I'm sure he won't mind.

By the way, tell me again why you changed your user name?

 

I hope we are able to convey to R2k and his family that he is cared about.

I understand if there are people out there who are hesistant or cautious sending money via paypal to moes. Even though we have never met in person, we have talked many times through the chat and email - moes (derek) and his wife, finals (shan) are good people just like R2K and pretty much everyone else on this site. There won't be any Ko40acres (or whatever that guy's name was) or the guy that sold the defective xbox shenanigans going on here.

I guess you could take my post with a grain of salt but I think this is a great idea in what moes is doing and support him 100%. He is a great friend to have.

Donated Great idea by both clutch and moes, R2K is an amazing guy putting in all those hours for c-fans videos and chats! Never met anyone but this is a great cause and am honored to be part of this website!

 

I just need another avenue, and have emailed requesting that. I don't use paypal because I'm too dumb to figure out which of the dozens of "paypal" emails I get are the fishing expeditions. I was getting like 10 per day so just shut it down.... I'm so old.

But yes, this is an awesome idea and I appreciate moes doing this.
