Why aren't our hitters standing ON TOP of the plate against Glavine?

Also, why are they not trying to go to the opposite field?

Viscaino, Merced, Eusbio....one out men on first and 3rd...someone other then Truby.

I don't think Dierker is helping anymore. I think he has lost it.

PS. Jackson left because he got hurt...maybe, HOPEFULLY he is out of the rest of the playoffs.

Have yall seen the expression on his face? Man, the guy looks defeated and melancholy.....:(

I think he needs to show more confidence for his players...it ain't over yet, the Astros just need something to drink...Brisk, anyone?

geez, if Biggio was 1/4 of a step faster. Why would Wagner talk crap about the Braves?

Lugo, 0-7 with 3 errors in the series. When did he get put on the Braves payroll I wonder?

Major props to Dierk for bringing in Wagner in the 9th. I'm sure he was leaning towards Scott Linebrink or someone but I don't think they're eligible.

Boy, it really is a game of inches, and decisions, really. If Vizcaino had hit instead of Truby. If Dotel had pitched yesterday. If Ausmus's hit was 1 foot higher. If Craig were a 1/4 step faster. Actually, if Vizcaino had played the first two games, would we be up 2-0 possibly?

Bagwell, Berkman, Alou.....if you ever were going to score, this is the time.

Is Bagwell finally a clutch player, or still a choker?

Is Berkman ready to finally step up...

    Does Mo...still have it...

    We shall see....

For me, the Astros have surpassed the Oilers in Houston sports disappointment. The Oilers at least won the occassional playoff game. The Astros have now become a national embarassmernt with their performance against the GIants and their continued playoff choking. They have not lost spectacularly, they have just lost. The slow, dripping death of blown saves and no hitting. The veterans are doing nothing, the youngsters are playing like they belong in t-ball and the manager is quitting on his team with his unproffesional attitude, stupid decisions and stubborn insistence on playing Lugo. Going into the series I thought if we could get good starting pitching we would win in 4. Now, we get good starting pitching even from Mlicki and we still lose. Disgusting.

Another double play. I knew there was a reason I am a Yankees fan. They know how to win.
