when you look at him, he reminds you of Dejan Bodiroga

    I'm sold!

Seriously, I never heard of Radmanovic until today, but I'm not a draft expert (How well known is this kid?). I'm not saying pass on him cause he is European. I don't know if I would take him with the # 13 though. I'd rather get a guy like Richard Jefferson who we have seen play (college) and have been interested in for sometime.

From what you guys have written about him (i.e. better than Dirk and Pau at this stage) then he is worth a number one. He must come ready to play in October...and hopefully he won't ride the bench his first year.

He's a skilled big man, who could be stashed overseas for the next season or two. Picking him late in the first round is a good gamble, because those teams don't need as much help right now.

    Haven,

Imperialism is over. Africa is no longer under European control.

Hakeem and Mutombo also played college ball.

I don't think Rad's coach can be considered credible as he has a biased. Nowitzki and Gasol are already set to be making some money next year. Why not say Rad's better since it will help him and not hurt the highly scouted Gasol.

I don't know how good he is, but haven't heard anything from an unbiased, trusted source. He goes where he goes.

I bet Larry Hughes and Jamal Crawford are better than those scrubs you all are talking about. And just because Rudy T likes these players doesent mean they can play. Rudy liked Serge Zwikker, Bryce Drew, Matt Maloney, and Jason Collier and you see how great they are [IMG]

He also liked Mobley, Francis, Horry, Cassell, and Dickerson. We all know how great they are too. [IMG]

I'd be cool with Rudy taking Vlad just so we could call him "Vlad the Impaler."

You sure didn't like Troy before. And now, you claim you do, coincidentally coming a few days after I posted an article discussing Murphy's newfound athletism, including a part saying that he "amazed everyone by throwing down a reverse dunk." [IMG]

    Let's revisit that thread.

Draft Murphy? Are you serious? Remember Collier did the same thing in college.

I don't like Troy's game but im sure he will be much better than that bum.

    http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/Forum3/HTML/012909.html

Now, after he shows some hops, you suddenly take an interest to the guy. [IMG] I don't think you're racist, it's just funny how you take a liking to all the "athlete" type players in the draft or NBA every time.

I was saying I wouldn't take Troy with the 13th pick but he would be a nice stael at 23. And I knew Troy had some hops because I watched him play in the Big East for 3yrs.

The last thing we need is a Troy Murphy. We already have Jason Collier. Murphy is clumsy as hell, and NOT a good defender.

I would take Murphy if we have a second rounder.

Lil Francis: I've watched him in the Big East for the last 3 years as well. There's a lot of bad blood between BC and Notre Dame, so I might be a bit biased...

...but Murphy isn't very athletic. He was a tremendous college player. I've seldom seen someone of his equal at pure SCORING ability. He could post up, shoot the 3, and drive to the hoop. But he was bigger than the competition, and didn't have to make his own shots through athleticism.

That said, I bet Murphy has a better career than Michael Bradley. I fully expect Bradley to be a massive flop, after having seen him play in person a few times.

I think Murphy might be a bit underrated now - sometimes, he reminds me a bit of Wally Sczerbiak. If he ends up being just a tad quicker than everyone thinks him, he could be a very valuable player. I'm not comfortable enough with that bet though, to take him until the end of the first round.

    Lacking inspiration at the moment...

What about that PG at BC? I heard some people compare him to Marbury when he was at Georgia Tech.
