I wonder how much of it is related to the upcoming expiration of the current CBA? Teams trying to position themselves to be the most competitive in the new CBA environment. Either way, the contracts expiring next year will still help.
You think so? The way I see it, they had a guy with a max contract who is forever injured crippling them for years to come. They got out from under that burden and now have a little freedom to rebuild their roster. Plus, they got Speedy. I'd rather have Speedy Claxton on the floor than Baron Davis on the IR.
He may be injured but when healthy he is a top notch player. Early on last season, he was getting MVP run but faded alittle as his health worsened. The guy is very talented but hasn't been able to harness it. I thought they could have gotten more. It's all good, we'll see.
