That's good news maybe Yao will be better in the post this year, get some more rebounds, and block some more shots.

Bet he can never spend as much time in the post and become as unagile as Shaq.....and that's a good thing.

And Shaq at 300 is not as agile as Shaq at 350. It's just physics.

It's a compromise. The key is to find the best threshold. The strength to weight ratio is what determines how fast a person moves at a particular weight.

But the bottom line is that Yao needs some extra weight, but a lot more strength and endurance. Even if that means that he has to sacrifice some of his nimbleness.

I mean, why be Duncan-like agile when no one can push you off the post in the first place? Maybe Yao's optimum weight will be around 305-310. But not much more. I'm not sure. But the physical trainer will figure this out. And I'm sure that Yao will give feedback as well.

Yao's problem wasn't agility (for a 7'5" guy). It was getting pushed around by smaller, but stronger players.

By the way, it's known that Yao can't get too heavy because they want to make sure that he doesn't develop foot and knee problems later. So, they are being cautious with this.

Yao got that scar vs dallas , the first game we played them. Yao had 28pts in that game by half. In 3rd qtr yao got that scratch by someone's wrist band. I remember Yao wearing a elbow pad on his upper arm after that game for a couple of weeks. The game when brakley kissed that donkey's . Remeber. The scar that Kemp gave him is on his back.

The report does not say Chinese NT coach is full of cr@p. He is trying to put Yao out to the 3-pt perimeter.

    Yeah, right:rolleyes:
