LakersPride is playing you guys for fools. 1) Any Juwan trade puts them at the luxury tax threshold for the next three years. They never want to pay luxury tax. If they knew they would be over the luxury tax threshold by 1 million last year, Von Wafer never would have made the squad. They know for sure that Howard puts them over the top. 2) After the Radman signing, Mitch Kupchak has said numerous times on AM570 that the lakers were very satisfied with the state of their frontcourt, that their focus was on strengthening their backcourt. When asked whether that meant Smush Parker would be moved to the bench or traded, Kupchak said they were still exploring options. They're not trying to get another PF, especially one with the contract that Juwan has. 3) Chris Mihm does not have 3 torn ligaments. That is a blantant lie. He even came back for spot minutes in one game, a month removed from the sonics game where he injured his ankle. One torn ligament could set you back for an entire season. Three torn ligaments means you might not walk right again, and you certainly don't come back after a month. I guess if I want to start a frenzy on this board, all I've got to do is have an anonymous source. That way, people get wondering. No one would has to know that my source is a ballboy....for women's tennis. Juwan is being traded for Troy Murphy people. Trust me, i heard it from my source. Nobody caught on to the fact that he joined in Dec. 2003 yet he never ever posted until this Jho trade crap came about. So Lakerspride what have you been doing for 3 yrs just looking at all the other posts and reading ? Read his profile he's been incognito for 3 yrs. Obviously there are enough believers out there that this thread has not been locked. He has no source that he can tell us yet he is still on the other side of the computer laughing at all of us. He's just some middle school lakers fan whos trying to make an ass out us Rockets fans. I'd lock this thread and ban him...then I would send a spy to the Lakers forum and tell them that T-Mac is on the way to the Lakers but I can't give my source up. Then watch their boards light up....
I can't believe how much pub Lakerspride is getting for making this crap up...I've talked to guys in LA (freinds not sources) who say they haven't heard of anythig remotely related to t his....maybe its true..maybe it isn't...but why on earth has nobody else heard anytihng....I'm very skeptical and can't believe i'm wasting my time..I hope it is true though...i know i'm contradicting myself but thats only because I HOPe ITS TRUE damniT!!

I couldn't agree more. Even if he was telling the truth and he was a die hard Rockets fan he still would be wrong in posting that. The rules on posting rumors especially trade rumors on this board have always been real strict yet he just pops on board and says "Hey guess what, this is what I heard from somebody I can't tell you guys about because I made a promise not too !!!!" right then and there the thread should have been locked but because we are in desperate mode we or some of us tend to eat at it hopeing it is real. Absolutely no disrespect towards Clutch for not locking this thread I was just talking in general.
Another starter??? Like Juwan is a quality starter??? He's not even going to start if he stays on this team. Because he is not a starter. And if we trade for a bunch of expiring contracts, you have to be able to see the big picture here. We would be in position to make a major move at the trade deadline when teams are chucking in the towel and looking to rebuild. $5 million in expirings and our first rounder for 2007 could possibly go a long way towards landing us a guy like Mo Peterson or Corey Maggette or someone else of that ilk. A slow, unathletic power forward, whose only positive is his ability to sporadically hit the 17 footer, with absolutely no range out to 3 point land, and who has a very difficult time defending anyone is NOT a vital part of the team. He's not even a solid contributor for all the 10 points he gives us one one end, he costs us 20-30 on the other end becuase he cannot defend his own man and he is too slow and unatheltic to help with anybody elses man.

I don't understand why people are so critical of people who claim to have an inside scoop. How exactly does it hurt us if he's full of it? How??!?! Somebody please explain it to me. I just don't understand the need to lash out against people who claim to have inside info. Is it so you get to say "I told you he was full of it!!!" if it doesn't pan out? I bet that's a wonderful feeling. What's weirder is that people get straight offended and huffy. We spend how much time on this board discussing trades that will never happen and players that would be ideal for the Rockets that will never be a Rocket, so what's the big deal if we're talking about one more trade that may or may not happen? I think there should be a policy on inside info posts - If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. I wonder how many people with legitimate info haven't shared it because they don't want to get verbally raped by you guys.
Mihm or Cook are not going to be a significant upgrade over Howard. Forget the lakers and lets trade with the Clippers for Maggette...or the Warriors for Murphy, i know even Murphy isn't much of significance, but besides shooting threes atleast he grabs boards unlike Brian Cook!

This guy is no worse than the guy with 10,000 posts under his belt since June who sits around and writes this post: "What do you guys think of Rybo 2 firsts and all our trade exceptions for Vince carter? I think he fits our team well. Let me know what you think!!" These are the type of guys and posts that deserve your ire and flaming attitudes!!!!!!!! The only thing missing from the kind of posts above is the Budweiser "Mr. Proposterous trade suggester" song. I would much rather read something like this from lp where at least there is some plausability no matter the credibility of the "source". If you ban this guy for this thread, you would have to ban half of this board for making ridiculous posts including some of our well known veteran posters.
