    Hoopsworld should be renamed Babbleworld.

Wow. So Clutch locks the other thread on this, and you come back blazing full guns...

Wow. Maybe there's something to this then.

When I see it.... (you know the rest).

I think you only generate TEs when only 1 player from each side is involved... Also, Lakers being over the cap, the 7.3 for 1 part of the deal would not go through unless they have a huge TE already.

You have to understand LP your source said this was a done deal and now it is not. I love getting inside info but your credibility took a hit when you said it was this week and now it is not. Maybe your source is telling the truth and the deal gets cancelled because **** happens but it is going to make you look like a total BS'er.

A TE is treated like a player, so if a new TE is created it'd be around 2mil.

It's not my duty to schedule the trade announcements the trade is delayed because of Chris Mihm's knees both parties particularly the Lakers want to know who they can add and they want some time as they have demanded the Rockets to wait until they see what kind of decision they make.

So lets see, we're trading Howard and Head for a couple of losers.

Two guys Mihm and Cook, who both just had surgeries, and noone knows about this besides hoopsworld. Excuse me,

Well, your source need to at least give a rough idea on the players. What's the deal being discussed?

No, if what you said is true, that is if LA has a trade exception themselves to cover Luther's contract, then all they would need to trade for Howard is a little over $5 million in contracts to match Juwan's contract. For them all they have to get is (Juwan's contract - $100,000)/1.25. (However, they would probably like to get rid of more dead weight, while we would like to keep the dead weight to a minimum.) So, if they offered say, Mckie, Cook, and another contract at around $1 million or so, that would be enough for the trade to work on their end. And at the same time, we already have a TE that we can break up and use to acquire Mckie and Cook. That would leave us sending them over $7 million in contracts in exchange for the left over $1 million contract, which would generate a new TE to us of over $6 million. It's just like the Mcgrady trade.

But, the problem is, if LA had a TE to cover Luther's salary, would they want to use it, or would the rather get rid of more dead salary. I would bet they would want to dump another mill or more in salary and keep their TE for another day, that is if they even have a TE. That being the case, this deal is still a no brainer so long as it returns expiring contracts and it generates a new, larger TE than the $4.2 million TE we have that will expire at the trade deadline.

Since Chris Mihm is likely out of the deal then Cook and McKie is best bet to be involved and possibly Sasha or Deaven George through a possible S&T.

with Chris Mihm out alot of scenarios change especially from the Laker front.

man we have a mid-level exception to sign a backup center, and we can someone way better than Mihm. I say screw Mihm , and go for lorenzen wright or ely with the MLE. And use J-HO + trade exception + rafer and or head to get Marbury.

I forgot to mention that it is not the full MLE but enough to get a good back up center.

Marbury? The best PG in the league? I don't know, I think he's too good for this team.

Yes they delayed the trade and have asked the Rockets to give them some time.

Huh? Lakers need more time to sign close to 30 years old George Devean for possible S&T? I wonder how many year George Devean will get?
