Congrats Clutch and fellow Clutchfans. That'll teach them to mess with us.

What an odd episode. Don't they understand we are all on the same team? We're Rocket fans. We buy their overpriced tickets, beers, merch, hotdogs, beer, parking spots etc. We're not the enemy. Hello? Bueller? McFly?

And great call, Droxford. I think you spoke for all of us. I'll bet that had a lot to do with the change in stance.

    Back to lurk mode...

Maybe someone could call in on behalf of Cluthfans.net (to 610) tomorrow and let them know that this decision was made, and kinda just say a thanks to the Rox for changing their stance and making the right decision. My long distance bill would kill be if I tried it, but I'm just suggesting to anyone who lives in the area, or has deep pockets (or a free long distance plan).

    Great news.

We should also recognize that it was prob not some high-level decision to initially exclude Clutch. Prob just a manager. It's not a big deal for an organization to change a decision like this. Prob took management a fraction of a second to figure this one out.

Anyway, over and done. Go Rockets!

That sums it up to a tee. Well said!!!

It's great to see that David (Aside: Clutch, isn't your real name David?) beat Golliath again. I think the next thing we need to do is campaign to get Tim back - he would NEVER have allowed a debacle like this to happen in the first place! - and get Tad fired!

Okay, now we need to up the ante. Let's flood the media tomorrow and demand 1)a nude powergirl calender 2) that moochie gets traded 3) a giant Mutumbo waving his finger billboard on the highway 4) a Clutchfans logo at center court 5) that Sura faints on the court at least once this season.

The fans demand it, comply or be crushed by our incredible force!

The whole hour it's taken me to read all 18 pages of this thread I've been reminded of "New Coke" and how they screwed up so bad in the mid '80's and how long it took before they listened to the consumer. Fortunately, it didn't take the Rockets front office as long to correct the mistake.

I used to think of myself as some sort of Rocket freak (I guess I still am) but the great thing about this site is that there are over 16,000 other Rocket freaks out there. One big family and the passion that the members on this board bring to the table would have been devistating for the Rockets not to reverse their decision. As Mark Twain once said "It's not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog" and the members of the bbs fought and won against a seemingly much larger foe.
