It looks like **** for HD. I love that it is still 2-D but damn, couldn't they have made it look better?
Hey, the graphics don't look so bad at all and it Looks fun. Seriously though, wtf is up with the bg music?? lol .
According to the tier guide Sagat is overpowered. FINALLY! Sagat is my guy (especially in SFA series). http://www.eventhubs.com/guides/2008/oct/17/street-fighter-4-tiers-character-rankings/
I loved me some sagat. He's all i played back then but his game took more timing than the likes of ken or ryu that playing with a control pad makes it VERY hard. I DEFINITELY need a joystick to play sagat to pull off those right off the ground tiger uppercuts to avoid the high jump kick counters.
I am in your boat with Sagat. Sounds really lame but without a joypad I can only execute his moves to max capacity from the left (player 1) side of the screen. Those arcade controllers are freakin expensive. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...11189&creative=373489&creativeASIN=B001M25AY6
forget that joystick. Only good for 1 person. X-arcade is where it's at. At least for a comparable price you can two people playing. http://www.xgaming.com/two-player.shtml Lifetime warranty to! with the adapters it works for PC, PS3 and PS2.
I always though Hori fighting sticks were fine and much cheaper. http://www.amazon.com/Hori-UHP3-01-PS3-Fighting-Stick/dp/B000MWE3BI/ref=dp_cp_ob_vg_title_2
I have always been a PC gamer, always enjoyed multiplayer games, started with Starcraft, then Diablo2, then Counterstrike, and I just stopped playing World of Warcrack. Now, because the last console that I purchased was a Nintendo 64, I do not know which console is better, Xbox360 or PS3. I am very much interested in playing SF4 on the day of its release, but I would like some insight on which system you 'life-long console' users prefer. As a person who enjoy multiplayer games, please recommend which system is better, and why. Thank you very much.
What about the 'red ring of death' that plague the xbox line? As far as online play is concerned, which system offer the best online experience?
I think they fixed the 3 light red ring problem. I would get a warranty anyway. I can't really see you noticing any difference in online play. While XBOX live has more unique users, since this is a fighting game which only requires 2 players per game, i don't think user base will be much of an issue. The XBOX D-Pad is awful but they are releasing that joystick pad that Tinman has posted earlier in the thread. I think it comes down to what other games you like and which ones are available on which system or what features you like. NetFlix is synced with the XBOX live market place which must be nice.
I don't own either system due to the fact that I'm broke, but I do try to keep up with who is doing what, and I read a lot of video game magazines, but still....take this with a grain of salt: I think the RROD, while not necessarily a thing of the past, isn't nearly as prevalent as it once was. I could be wrong on that....I don't know personally anyone who has a 360, so I don't personally know anyone who has had to deal with this. XBox Live is still the king, but Sony's online system is in its infancy and is only going to get better and better, and on top of that: it's free. No one argues that the PS3 has gobs and gobs more power than the 360. To me, that says that the games, which already look ridiculously good, are only going to get better as developers keep developing. IOW: it has a much higher performance ceiling than the 360. But one can also argue that the PS3 games won't do this because games will be developed first on the 360 because it's easier to develop for than the PS3. There's also the built-in Blu-Ray. If I could afford it, I'd own both. If I could afford only one system, it'd be the PS3: free online, Blu-Ray, and exclusives like God of War III and whatever the guys who did Shadow of the Colossus come up with next, but exclusives are entirely up to the individual user, so to each his own in that regard. I'm also pretty anti-Microsoft, but not so much that I wouldn't consider owning their system. Games like Gears of War, Fable, and Ninja Gaiden make me pretty interested in 360. If I were you, I'd consider exclusives vs. what you like to play, whether Blu-Ray is important to you, and price. Also think about the free online service Sony offers because the reality is that if you keep paying for XBLive, you'll eventually spend more than the cost of the PS3, not to mention if you're also planning on buying a separate Blu-Ray player.... Just my two cents.
The reason that stick is so expensive is that it's all professional parts, and is supposed to be the same parts as what goes into the arcade game's cabinet. Madcatz is selling a cheaper one for $80 that has cheaper parts.
i use an hori stick (the virtua fighter stick) i think they have the same one for ps3. its not the best, but its better than playing it on a pad.
I've read as well that supposedly the newer 360's don't have the same problems, but I've still had friends even with the newer boxes have them go out due to hardware failures, whether it be RROD or something else. I never buy warranties, but if I was buying a 360 again, I would buy an extended warranty on it.
