How many joysticks do you have? The TE and the SE now? I'm trying to not ride the gate but it's hard. I'm gonna at least order the GT-Y octagonal restrictor plate as well to. Hopefully i can get used to it but man trying to not ride the gate is hard and the uppercut moves come out sooooo easily. dragon punch with a sonic boom move? Unreal.

I have the HRAP3 and the soon to be returned Fightstick SE. My cousin has the Fightstick TE + HRAP3 + Fightstick SE.

I installed the octagon gate on the HRAP3 but didn't like it. If you like the octagon feeling, it might be right for you. There are mods you can do to the joystick/buttons to give it a stiffer/firm feel. I'm not sure how it's done, but I think it involves changing out the springs. You can find out all the details on www.shoryuken.com

I went from joystick to controller and I'm getting owned by scrubs, lol. The game is 99x more difficult with a controller. I hope Akihabara shop is re-opening soon. I want to order the new parts they released in Japan vs the old stuff Lizard Lick stocks.

I'm hanging decently with a gamepad but it's difficult because i want to play more than one character but to do so I'd have to change button configs up each time I change characters so at the moment I'm strictly an Abel player and I have over 3K battle points. I know the stick will take me up a notch but for the most part I just want to be able to play a variety of characters. I grew up with american sticks with circle gates so I feel the octagonal gate will give me the best of both worlds with the circular motion with edges for location.

I think I'm just being a pansy about the sensitivity of the buttons though. I'm old and I hate change :p

Championship mode is released today. Not sure if anyone cares....but to me it's kinda neat. What I would really like Capcom to address is the lobby system. I want to invite all my SF4 buddies in one room and have a brawl.

I've got a Hori fighting stick on the way right now. I'm hype to get it. This is gonna be my first stick and if I like it will definitely upgrade later. The guys in the forums at www.shoryuken.com have made some really nice custom sticks that I could see getting into.

Where did you order the Octagon gate? I returned the SE and picked up another one at a different Gamestop. Seems like the a lot of stores picked up the second batch, so the SE shouldn't be that difficult to find for now.

All I need now is a place to order me some Seimitsu joystick/buttons for my SE and I'm boss.

gamingnow.net? I found it on a thread on shoryuken forums that listed vendors that sold sanwa parts. More good reviews than bad but most were getting their orders. I just couldn't wait til lizard lick came back online to order the octagate. are you xbox or psn? I see the SE's coming in but the TE's are still flying in as soon as they come in stock.

edit: I went ahead and ordered a black bat-top as well to. Dang I hate and love this joystick Grrrrr

This championship mode is kinda cool. I've played a lot of better players in this mode than in ranked mode. It seems more susceptible to running into people with lag because the people you're allowed to play are limited since you can only go up against those that are in the same part of the draw you are in.

Just placed an order with gamingnow.net. $64 ($64 + $75 for the stick = $140!!) for the Seimitsu LS-32-01, clear bubble top and 6 Seimitsu white ps-14-kn's. I hope I get my stuff next week, I'm pretty stoked!! Thanks for the help biggiestuff, it would've been painful to wait months for LL to open back up. Although it's a bit expensive, I'll finally have a awesome joystick I'll own and use till it breaks.

You're already on my psn buddy list. I'm leehom :p

Oh that's you? hahaha...i automatically assume that leehom was your CF ID hahaha. My stuffed was shipped out already so hopefully it'll be here in time to modify. I know the only way i'm gonna get to the next level is with a joystick. I should use my headset more though. some guys are screaming and yelling during the fight hahaha..it's a bit distracting.

Let me know what you think about the octagon gate. If you're not happy with it, you could take out the Sanwa stick and sell it, use the cash for a Seimitsu LS-32-01 and buy the round gate if it bothers you that much.

If the buttons are still too soft for your liking, you can have the original buttons from my Madcatz SE stick. They're definitely a lot stiffer than the Sanwa/Seimitsu buttons.

My order came in today. Here's a picture of the final product. Took me an hour to do everything and I cut my fingers pretty bad removing 12 disconnects. Overall the installation was a breeze. A lot easier than I thought it would be.

I'm not sure what I did, but the stick feels like it already has a octagon gate although it's suppose to be square. I think I installed this plate differently and turned it into octo from square. The joystick is very precise. If I don't input the movements perfectly, it won't work. Very different from the HRAP3/TE stick where you can be sloppy and it'll still work.

It took a little getting used to, but I like this stick a lot more than the other joysticks. I played ten battles online and won most of them. I usually win roughly half of them with the other joysticks. The buttons feel just a tinsy bit heavier than the stock buttons. I didn't really notice much difference, but the microswitch is larger and the build quality of the Seimitsu buttons is better.

    What about your order Biggie?

I was about to post but my stuff hasn't come in yet :(. Hopefully it'll be here tomorrow. When did you get your stuff? USPS still says electronic shipping info received but i know USPS isn't the greatest at tracking.

I know other people since I've ordered have gotten their stuff from this place already as well so mine is probably just floating around somewhere. So the upgrades you made makes your stick a bit stiffer?? is that what it does?

I replaced the stock joystick with a Seimitsu LS-32-01 joystick which is a huge improvement. The joystick you have is a Sanwa xxxx and the buttons is Sanwa OBSF-30. I had the same buttons and didn't like them because I thought they were too soft/mushy so I tried Seimitsu buttons and they're probably just a teeny bit better. There are two ways around this. You can mode the buttons with a stronger spring or modify happ buttons into your joystick, but I think happ buttons are too big and won't fit in the case.

If you're willing to mod a joystick and save a little money, you could go the same route I did. SE stick + seimitsu joystick + buttons. I think you would probably like the Seimitsu joystick more than the Sanwa. If you live in the NW, we can swap joysticks for a week for you to try it out.

If your item hasn't shown received from XXX CA, he hasn't shipped it yet. The part might be on back order.

Dang it! he replied and said he shipped it off already so it's floating around there somewhere. Stinking USPS!! it's not the 1st time they've lost a package for me before.
