F-ck we will have the worst guards in the league for two years straight.

    2006-07 is not looking good.

His agent has said he wants the full MLE. Now that Minny have James maybe it'd be easier to use the 4.2TE for him?

Sign Marcus Banks, Rasual Butler, and re-sign Keith Bogans then call it an off-season.

It could be a blessing in disguise. Rockets finally acquire some youth and potential.

i hope so too. the mle is NOTHING for a player of his caliber. i don't get it at all and this move is certainly not inline with the trade for battier. i'm very interested in seeing the back-up plan and if doc rocket's no worries post comes true.

Why should we? Who knows how he will perform 2 or 3 years down the road, he is not in his early 20s.

Finally a good move on the Rox part. This in a way compensate for their bad moves on draft day. Go out and pick up a REAL SG who can shut down elite perimeter players in the western conference.

Hence the "WIN NOW" plan, that's why we traded Rudy Gay right? I love how everyone is now claiming James is 32 AFTER he is not coming to the rockets, when he is really 31.

Considering a 4 year deal is way too long, the only value james will have is that he would be an expiring contract at the end of his deal. With a trade kicker or no trade clause(if the nba even has one) it would be alot harder to trade him.

I can see why he'd want the trade exception. We traded for him, he played extremely well for us, and then we traded him away saying that he wasn't what we wanted.

Next he watched the Rockets make Swift their priority. The Rockets signed Swift to a decent deal similar to what James would have gotten from us this year. We hardly played Swift and then after a year traded him away saying he was a bust and essentially said he had no trade value.

Frankly, if I was dealing with the Rockets and was at a point in my career where I knew I had other similar options, I would ask for a trade exception too.

There's no reason to be mad at him. He said he wanted to come home. The Rockets weren't willing to give him what he asked.

We're going to suck next year.

    Better Minny than Dallas.

    F***

I swear, I'm starting to have serious second thoughts about renewing my tickets at this point. Maybe I downgrade to a 6-game package. This sucks.

He just turned 31 on June 23. It is not a fact that he is 32.

It wouldn't be right for the Rockets to give James a trade kicker when Yao and Mcgrady don't have one. You can't do that. That wouldn't sit well with the rest of his teammates. Basically James could do pretty much whatever he wants because he knows he won't be traded. So if JVG told him to pass the damn ball to Yao or Mcgrady in this set play James could say whatever you say coach and do his own thing because he knows he won't be traded. So there is just no way the Rockets could offer that.

The reactions here are hilarious, we are talking about just Mike James........let's not let his initials (MJ) fool you............he is not that guy, there are other players and possibilities out there we can look at.

Let's wait to see what happens before we start slitting our wrists....

I will say I learned more about the type of person James is, as I have no problem going for the most money/best offer....but don't go on all the TV channels and say your not about money and not going to be a pimp, and try to come off as a saint and overall great guy, when that is not the case.
