My feeling is that Dallas still fears us. Cuban will do anything to trip us up. Let's consider the deal from his point of view: either he ends up with James, or he doesn't.

If he signs James, he gets at least a tradeable asset. Excellent.

If he doesn't sign James, no problem, his team is already stacked with guards. And just by entering the MJ derby he could bid up James' value and force us to spend $5 to $10 million more than we wanted to. Not a bad return, from Cuban's point of view, for just a few minutes of talking.

    So Cuban wins, either way.

    This is not zboyfans.net.

This is clutchfans.net. I have been talking Rockets.

In a way you might be right however. It does seem a waste of time to support these inept Rockets. However, since I have been a fan since 80s its hard to give up the addiction.

But its mostly that I care for Rockets. It should be quiet aparent by now that CD/JVG combo is not good enough to lead the Rockets them deep in the playoffs much less championship despite having one of the best combos of Yao/Tmac as an arsenal.

I guess I am guilty of having high dreams for Rockets.

I care about Rockets. That is why I want JVG/CD gone.

    Speaking of stubborn,

Joe Paterno had never allowed his coaches to visit other colleges until before last season when they went to Texas. Consequently, they went 11-1 after back to back to back losing seasons. Go figure.

I know it's football, but you know ... analogy.

This thread could use some Crisco. If it ceases to be a sticky thread, maybe it'll help people get over the Mike James debacle and people will be able to move on. I think it just reminds everyone of how pathetic our team's management is, and that in turn emboldens people to suggest stupid trades like the AI thread. So let's please bury this thread and look to the future.

on the evening following MJ's Minny announcement, i was leaving work and heard the 610 guys talking about the Wolves:

"With Foye, Mike James, and Ricky Davis, 'shoot-first' is gonna take on a whole new meaning in Minnesota."

Quotes from Mike James and I find fun reading. The guy is full of himself but I admire his persistent and confident about himself.

    About Minnesota Timberwolves:
    Why unlucky 13 jersey?
    Breakout season in Toronto:
Bounced around the league and wound up with Toronto last season:
James is happy the Wolves showed confidence in him when so many other teams didn't:

We lost a shot at James now we might lose Wesley to the Cavs, that blows hard because I got used to him and it also would be good news to since he can get pretty cold.

Cuban did not do anything to raise the price on James. No one was going to offer him any more then the full MLE which is what the Rox did. The reason Cuban did not get him is because he is an average player deserving of the MLE but who made an unreasonable request in his contract. Cuban isnt a fool and didnt think he was worth it just like the Rox.

Everyone needs to remember we lost Mike James not Lebron James. I think Snyder is as good a fit as James. Yes there is less offense, but more length and athleticism which the Rockets need. Plus we still have the full MLE to get a couple more players.

I agree. I never hoped that Rockets would sign him cause he is not suitable for this team. Anyhow, he is a big lier since he repeatedly said that he hoped to play for Rockets, but now he went to Minnesota and said that since Rockets wanted to sign him, why did they choose to trade him last summer. For such a person, it is lucky that he did not choose Rockets!
