CD once again pretty much proves he's worthless.

Way to give Charlie Ward a 3 year deal when NO ONE would sign him to a one-year minumum deal when he was past what I guess you could call a prime.

But they won't give MJ the MLE plus trade kicker and 3 year player option

    WORTHLESS

How do you know that teams don't give out trade kickers all the time. I remember when Matt Geiger got a trade kicker and messed up a deal because he wouldn't waive it. Matt Freaking Geiger.

While I love the fact that you are optimistic, we have NO ONE to trade to make a big deal. Like I said, dig the optimism, but just can't share it.

James Said he wanted to go to the team that was going to win, Last time I checked the T-Wolves sucked hardcore :D . Oh well I guess he'll just have to miss out on the rockets winning the next four championships :p . Then where will his precious fourth year option get him, ABSOLUTELY NOWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's unreasonable because he isn't good enough to have to pay him to send him packing if he doesn't work out for the team. Imagine if Swift had a trade kicker.

The trade kicker isn't overpaying him. Giving him the extra year is overpaying him (Dallas declined also). The trade kicker is the icing on the cake (as far as saying no).

Yes, teams really wanna have to pay those guys to move them...

That looks more promising and exciting to watch than any possible scenarios being thrown out by Rockets management apologists now. No one can predict the future, but bottom line is WHAT have they done to improve Rockets back court? Didn't Van Gundy say they needed to be bigger and defend perimeter better? and 3 PGs? That sounds accurate and reasonable.

Rockets management is being out maneuvered by other teams. No one knows how far Timberwolves management will go in playoffs, but they've done a much better job upgrading their back court than the Rockets. If it's about win now, why not give James the trade clause and opt out? He'd at least be in Houston and producing for the next 3 years during that alleged window of opportunity. At least that would be consistant with the Gay/Swift for Battier trade.

The problem with Rockets trades and draft decisions is:
    1) they don't make the team better now

    2) don't give much hope for future potential

    3) and aren't consistent

Do they even know what they're doing?

If CD's back-up is V-Span, then that would be stupid and flame on. But I don't think it's dumb not to overpay for Mike James.

I believe MJ wanted to come to Houston but I also believe that he thought the full MLE for 5 years was not going to be hard to get out of the club...especially as bad as we need help at the 2 guard spot.

how is the MLE overpaying a 20 ppg player (who realistically could have put up about 15 here?)

We are talking about this deal, this deal only. It's screwed up. Are there better players that fit our need than MJ now. Bonzi?
Yeah, Sun will always come out, there always about basketball to play, so let cheer.
It's not crying. Just frustration. We all care about this team. I hope the management too.

A stupid move is stupid move whether or not the next one is good or not especially there is no alternative to consider at this point.

I didn't think the Rockets mgt could be this inept  Jame's requests were reasonable and I wish him well.

I'm starting to really have some serious doubts about a team that traded Mike James in the first place (like he said), passed on Rashard Lewis with their THIRD first round draft pick when he wanted to be here (after drafting Bryce Drew and Mirsad FREAKING Turksan ahead of him, trading THREE NUMBER ONE DRAFT PICKS for Eddie Griffin when he had trouble written all over him having fought with his OWN teammates, drafting Nachbar with our #1 pick (15th) as well as the late Jason Collier with a #1 at the 15 spot, Rodrick FREAKING RHODES!!!!! Z(#1 pick), and trading Sam Cassell and Robert Horry for a broke down Charles Barkley (both Cassell and Horry are STILL knocking down huge shots in the Association).

CARROL DAWSON IS AN IDIOT  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
