    I just dont understand the rox managment. Do we want to win now? Than why didnt you make the Mike James deal work. Do you not want to win now? Than why the hell did you trade Rudy freaking Gay away?

    Banks is not better than James and the Rockets had no leeway but now it seems to me that James wouldn't have fitted back with the guys even though he did well for us. It's all about him and not the team.

    Do not worry my friends, there are other alternatives. I'm sure we can get some other point guards who can contribute. A lot of cats in the league want to play with T-mac and Yao, so don't worry

    It was always about the money. I'm surprised, to tell you the truth, that Houston and Dallas didn't offer a 4th year. Perhaps they both saw a side of James they weren't crazy about during the negotiations.

    I hope the Rocks weren't sitting on their collective butts while this soap opera was going on. I would expect to hear of major deals from the Rocks soon... if not today, then certainly tomorrow. Doc Rocket said, "no worries," and unless he was mislead by his source, I would take that to mean that we have a deal, or deals, in place that are going to make us happy.

    Then the Rockets are dumber in talent evaluations than I ever thought possible.

    I'm not worried, I think they will come up with something pretty soon.

    I never doubt Doc, but what if those rumored deals he heard of fell through also?

    There is no guarantee in sports.

    Since when did DocRocket become Popeye/Oilpere? We haven't had any real inside information since Rudy got sick.

    It was Popeye that talked in riddles!

    What they meant by 'Win Now' was for the summer league... 4-0!! Ha because thats all we are gonna win this year. There is no more plans unless they got some more disappointing plans they can do for us loyal Rockets fans!

    Yes, it's music to my ears. But to be fair, Cuban did say that he's no longer going to live in luxury tax land so the fact that he/they wouldn't go 4 years is not surprising in the least.

    Deckard is right: It's ALWAYS about the money...

    Cheap is the only explanation I can think of.

    If they wanted him for three years, but not four, what other explanation is there assuming the "win now" claim.

    If we are going to "win now" let's try to do so and stop the bs about four years from now.

    If its all about stars then why did we trade Rudy Gay? Seems they understand we need to surround stars with good role players. All the teams you stated above had good roles players, we have what? Ryan Bowen and Alston?

    $5M MLE @ 8%

    YR 1 = $5M
    YR 2 = $5.4M
    YR 3 = $5.8M
    SUBT = $16.2M

    YR 4 = $6.2M
    TOT = $22.4M

    Cheap. I guess James' $Ball number was not high enough to warrant a 4th year. :rolleyes:

    It's becoming pretty obvious that MJ is really out for himself and the money rather than winning like he stated. When was the last time Minnesota has really shown anything other than 1st round failure.

    if he had interest from all these teams that have a real chance at winning a championship why didn't he go. It's BS to me...he's making himself out to be so much of a nice guy and not wanting money but the truth is that's all he was after. That and the chance to start and be a star on a team rather than be a backup and help a team win a championship. He wanted his payday and he got a minor one and that's all that matters.

    He is going to get his minutes, put up numbers, but never get another chance at a ring.

    I would have liked him to an extent but im not going to cry over it...move on people and forget MJ and lets get some more pieces to the puzzle.
