Groin injuries are relatively undetectable and yet people get sidelined from those commonly. So basically are you YOF's saying that Tmac should play with a hyper-extended arm? What about his back? Huh? He's been playing through that his entire basketball life. You should also realize that even if he wanted to play he wouldn't be medically cleared. But obviously you nerds don't know a thing about PHYSICAL ACTIVITES to know enough about what professional athletes go through
I have seen and heard players who have played with bruised or broken ribs.. broken wrist... broken ankles... one player I know played 7 playoff games with a broken wrist... we only found out after he broked down crying that... he coudnt do any better... anything that requires stiches...they get back on the ice as soon as possible... in the playoffs.... players routinely go after loose pucks dumped into the boards...knowing some 230 pounder with a stick is going to stick them into them... or these guys dive to block a slap shot that sends a frozen puck travelling 80 to 95 miles per hour...at point blank range...
Tmac... is a weak... stop trying to protect him.... stop making excuses for him... he dosent need you guys too... has been doing it for 10 years now....
OKAY you have to realize that toughness is to be commended, but Tmac is simply being smart here. If he forces it too much, he'll risk a chance of getting a worse injury. Remember what happened to D-wade? Went back in, played like a warrior, but ended up lengthening his injury and consequently jeopardizing his team's chances in the playoffs. Look, Tmac may not exhibit the same warrior mentality and toughness as Kobe or Wade, but you have never experienced what he, or any other basketball players, experienced so don't talk about it as if its nothing.
I played the last two hours of a pick up roller hockey game with a broken collar bone... but your right... people use to pay me to make them money on the markets not to watch me play hockey or football... im sure the fans pay Tmac millions... to play it safe... no such thing as walking it off... with him.... LOL yes lets have Tmac save it for the playoffs... we all know how that has been going...
if this dude wants to compare hockey to basketball, let basketbal players fight each other instead of calling technical fouls and they'll toughen up.
man i hope t mac is back soon, it is all my fault, the last 3 games i've been to where where yao got injured, the game in dallas last yr where we got absolutely steamrolled, and this game where t mac got hurt, i hate myself
basketball player like TMAC ...one step above soccer players.... okay I have played basketball with dislocated and broken fingers and toes pulled groin muscle...broken bloody nose but then those are just pansy injuries.... only a pansy would hobble off the court... with those...
No I am like most other people... willing to do anything it takes to win... when was the last time you saw Tmac dive for a loose ball???
i've seen him take more charges than the typical superstar, does that count? and esp. his back conditions too and the last time i saw him dive for a loose ball, the playoffs v. the jazz.
Okay Mr. Tough Guy. Why don't you intentionally hyperextend your arm and then try to shoot with it. Yeah....you should definitely be playing professional basketball right now because you're Mr. Tough. O.....wait what? You're not? Not even professional hockey?
I think Tracy has shown he is a little softer than your average NBA player. No way would you play through some of the injuries we've seen Yao play through. Having said that we all know how important Mac is to this team. This Rocket team has shown it can win with out Yao but it has never been able to win without Mac. We will see early on how deep we really are now. Can those bench guys like Bonzi, Scola, MJ, and Steve step up now. I hope Rick gives Steve a chance afterall this is why he was brought to the Rockets and we need him to step up now and put his personal differences aside.
Good for you....T-Mac could barely lift his arm and instead of furthering the injury he will sit out for 2-3 games (aka approximately 1/40th of a season). It is not a big deal. As Amare aid a few weeks back, "You can't win a championship in November, but you can lose one."
You're one tough Stock Market God! Haven't we seen you somewhere before? or was it here? Keep fighting the good fight, soldier!
IC2000 clearly disproved you. He knows way better than you. McGrady tends to drag out injuries and day to day becomes a week. Funny how someone is calling other people nerds OVER THE INTERNET ON A BBS. If you weren't so nerdy maybe you might go play some real bball instead?
