    Tad Brown presser regarding a sponsor or something on the business side followed by the announcement of the trade of Melo to the Rockets. CA7 is not on the knicks right now. There is no way he is on the roster right now. This press conference has been 30 ways of avoiding talking about him so far.

    I remember the Rockets doing the "major announcement" vague press release in 2012 also when they were going to announce that they were hosting the 2013 NBA All-Star Game. I assume it will be something bigger, but it's definitely just a business announcement.

    If Tad gets everyone's hopes up by telling us to be prepared for a "major announcement" just to tell everyone he's putting patches on our hideous uniforms so he can add to his fortune I'm going to be livid.

    Couple quick thoughts:

    While they might change the gametime, and they might even announce it today as part of these changes, I'm pretty certain that's not the peg of the news conference. A 30-minute change to the typical start time doesn't constitute a "major announcement."

    My guess is something involving the jerseys -- either a sponsor or a uniform change. That's what makes the most sense.

    I'm 99% certain it has nothing to do with personnel, since it's Tad and not Daryl. However, since Daryl isn't in Houston (he's in Chicago right now, not sure why), there's always a tiny chance that Tad could be "filling in." Even so, I think the chances of that are very remote. Highly likely it's about business, and the jersey issue seems plausible.
