    he did seem to be improving and on the right path before the hand injury.

    If someone the magnitude of a professional athlete broke into YOUR place and beat your ass while u were asleep in bed... what punishment would you want for them? ;)

    Yeah, I know, gets locked in a psychiatric ward for 5 to 10 years isn't much better than jail. Anyway, what a stupid thing he did.

    If it was a professional athlete or a celebrity? I would love it. First I would sue them for as much as I can. With what Kirk did, I say 10 years and he may serve less with good behavior and if they think he would still be dangerous to us people they can always throw him in the loony bin.

    I didn't say that. Those type of people should serve life in prison. But I do hear about people killing either by drunk driving or murder and only getting 25 years or less.
