I used to hate the idea of this happening, now I'm kinda looking forward to seeing that team fail hard in the playoffs every year.

The Carmelo Anthony trade saga is nearly over.

Indications are that a trade is imminent with the New York Knicks, with only minor details to be worked out before an agreement is reached, a league source said.

Anthony was not at the Nuggets' practice tonight, as they resumed workouts following the All-Star break.

Names that have been mentioned in a possible Anthony trade include the Nuggets' Chauncey Billups, Shelden Williams and Anthony Carter.

The Knicks, it has been rumored, could give up Raymond Felton, Danilo Gallinari, Wilson Chandler and Eddy Curry.

Anthony tweeted earlier in the day that he was "Headed to Burbank to film THE CONAN SHOW." But it was unclear when the segment was taped for
tonight's airing.

Multiple outlets, including Yahoo Sports, reported Monday night that the deal was near complete.

would be an interesting East Confernece season, Boston, Miami and Orlando and Chicago. Now another contender, Knicks.

But they're not going to beat Spurs or Mavs (****), hate to say that.

 

Denver needs to work fast and give us Nene so they can truly rebuild again. I can't believe they cornered themselves so much here, effectively trading Melo for Gallinari, as Chandler's a rental unless they pony up some dough. Well, they painted themselves into a corner by refusing to deal with western conference teams.

Too bad our Knicks pick's value suddenly went down to nothing.

Should be interesting, Melo's a great player but gallo and fields are better fits in the offense. Also, if they end up giving Mozgov, they're get thrashed in the playoffs. A frontcourt of Melo/Amar'e is way too small, especially when they're only backup big man is Eddy Curry.

 

Thank god they didn't drag this thing out to the end!
If they did no other trades would happen!
