Ray McCallum who was the previous coach was famous for finishing 2nd in recruiting some of the top area players. That does no good and UH was often scrambling to find players at the last min. Penders seems to go after kids he thinks he has a shot at landing. If a local player is not giving you the time of day I don't understand why you would waste your time on a guy that has no interest in playing at UH. We want good players that want to be at UH not good players that don't want to be here. GO COOGS!!
