People need to lighten up, they are a bunch of young people having fun and celebrating what is so wrong with that...Chill pill people
To some, marriage is in fact more than that, it is a contract between two families. If these two families can not only work together, but put together a great dance number it shows more respect to their ability to make it work. Anyone can plan a wedding, it's just an elaborate party, but to work together, to love each other enough to try something new and scary, thats powerful. In my opinion, this shows more respect to God than anything a regular wedding could do, it shows that they have learned to love. It takes love to do what they did, I mean, both sets of parents agreeing to it in spite of it being completely insane, thats unconditional love. Praise him for giving that to the peoples.
If I am one of the people you are referring to, I just thought it was stupid... the video that is.... but then when they decided to play it live and do it live on the Today Show.. that was just plain annoying and irritating.. It's not in my thoughts anymore though... just wanted to have a great morning.. part of it was ruined because of that act.
It's one thing to have whatever the hell kind of wedding they want in private; it's another thing to stage that crap for the sake of Youtube. Any flame their way is justified. Just a tiny disclaimer, I hate all weddings. By unusual, I was expecting something other than the standard dancing viral attention mongering. Perhaps, something involving Mike Tyson, a tiger, a hooker, and a baby named Carlos would have been unusual.
no i wasn;t referring to you, your a cool guy in my books i was just saying the overall responses by everyone just seem to harsh. I could see how it gets annoying but some people just acted like it was the end of the world lol..
Well... I don't think you know the story behind it... according to their interview on The Today Show, the video wasn't even supposed to go on Youtube... it was merely entertainment for themselves and for the people at the wedding, but then relatives and others close to the couple who didn't attend the wedding wanted to see it, so the groom (or someone close to him) created a Youtube account and posted it on there.. Everything after that was a complete surprise... nobody in their family or anyone near them expected any kind of attention like what they had received. Yep, I had to listen to the damn interview too on Friday morning, but I don't despise interviews as much as I do lame acts.
Maybe Swoly D needs to read his bible more, dance more and judge others less. Psalm 150 1 Praise the LORD. [a] Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens. 2 Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his surpassing greatness. 3 Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, 4 praise him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the strings and flute, 5 praise him with the clash of cymbals, praise him with resounding cymbals. 6 Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD. Matthew 7 1"Do not judge, or you too will be judged.

Disrespectful to the church b/c Chris Brown punches girls? Or because your mind is not open to anything other than violins and cellos for weddings?
good idea, bad execution. the whole scene was a little long and it dragged out. the key to good execution is to make it short and sweet.
This is great. They aren't horrible dancers, but they certainly aren't impressive in that regard, and that doesn't even seem to matter. Their energy is what drives this. Haters here do not seem to understand that it is THEIR wedding, and not yours, so your standards about respect for church/god/youtube are irrelevant. They made their wedding in their own image, and the vibe is undeniably infectious. I had a smile on the whole time. Props to them. Hi Haters.
No, it became everyone's YouTube video. They can't touch the wedding. Thusly, thoughts along the lines of "that's not how MY wedding would look" are out of place and illustrate the widespread narcissism folks seem to have when evaluating no more than a video of a dance. It's about a performance, not religious or social standards.
I didn't watch this video but I read a few posts about it tonight my gf was watching some video on YouTube and was like omg watch this I knew right away it was this crap I told her to shut up and let me play my xbox360 it worked
People are making a big deal about nothing. It pales in comparison to the originals: <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/r7MiG2fe8lE&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/r7MiG2fe8lE&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> I want to go back in time and live the 70's over again.
