Well different people like different things. My opinion: a wedding is an event to be taken very, very seriously. But this certainly isn't the first couple to do something goofy at their wedding.
I can't decide whether these people are the biggest bunch of douchebags I've ever seen...or a group of people I would really love to hang out with. Seriously, I could go either way. And yeah, the preacher who married us is an ex-marine who served 2 tours in Vietnam. I really don't think he would've gone for something like this...
When it first started I thought it was going to be a complete train wreck and a sign that the marriage would surely be doomed after something like this. But, it is oddly very sweet. Why not have a little fun in your own, personalized way? I don't think the song was the right choice for a wedding but, none the less, very sweet.
I thought it was trashy. The very first dancers and the hand stand guy were entertaining...the rest sucked. Save that stuff for the reception, not the ceremony.
Disrespectful . People who like THAT kind of music will enjoy this type of behavior for any place, whether it be dancing over someone's grave or entering church. A place where supposedly a wedding is a ceremony to symbolize a union in front of God. It reminds me of the Airplane! figurine covering its eyes when the plane's about to crash and what I thought the image past the altar at 3:31 was going to do. Geez, couldn't they have saved it for the entry to the wedding reception hall? And to top it off, most old folks in there are clapping and enjoying the extravagant lack of respect. First you ban religious stuff due to "civil rights" and then you don't take church proceedings seriously and make a mockery. No wonder there's still hate, war, etc., in the world. Certainly He (or She) wouldn't have chosen Chris Brown's music, sir.
Wouldn't be my choice of music but I thought it was cool. Guess some of you didn't like the blues brothers if you think dancing and singing in church is disrespectful.
You're comparing a movie, paid actors, et. al., to real life people? Disclaimer : <-- has never seen The Blues Brothers movie but has seen some scenes
At most weddings, everyone seems preoccupied trying to follow the ceremony, not forgetting what they're supposed to next, etc. At least these people seemed to be relaxed and enjoyed the moment. It's probably my last choice in music, but more power to them.
Go rent it today or I'm putting you on my ignore list for ignorance. My point is not all religions find dancing and singing in church to be disrespectful.
Yeah, war and hate comes from being lighthearted. I really, really don't understand your reasoning sometimes.
