Asik deserves some huge respect for tonight. Man. Talk about rising to the occasion. And not just at the free throw line, where he defied all expectations and logic -- but his defense was stellar all night, and he was rolling and finishing as good as he ever has -- all this with the entire season on the line and on the road. Here's hoping his anti-Nick Anderson performance has the reverse effect on his career that Anderson's 95 choking had on his. If so, next year Asik will be a 1st teamer.
Asik is FANTASTIC and one of my favorite Rockets players. He nailed those crucial FTs in the 4th, and I mean, we all know how amazing he's been (critical) on our defensive end ALL YR. He works hard, doesn't talk much and just does what is needed. That being said, yes, take Dwight Howard in a heartbeat. No matter how great Asik is, he is not on (nor will he ever be on) Howard's level. You just got to pull the trigger on someone like Howard, imo. Asik had a fantastic night tonight. 21-11 I think. That's sorta a normal night for Howard when he's healthier, which he has been lately. Howard brings the same defense too. Now the question of his attitude...it sucks, but plenty of other bad attitude players have panned out on new teams (look at NYK). Got to go with super talent.

Believe me, he is getting it! Morey does too, for going after him for so long. Remember at one point clutchfans was saying how DUMB of a trade Courtney Lee for Asik was?
Dwight would've bricked and airballed ALL those free throws! IDC what anyone says I still hope Rockets don't go after that overrated, foul prone, post move-less, big headed diva and keep Asik.
