Now thats the man we need. He can jump out the gym, block shots, and rebound. He would be perfect for a high power offense like the Rockets will have. He reminds me of a lefthanded Theo.
I think that Keon Clark would be a great addition to the team, but what would the Rockets have to give? If its Walt for Keon straight up, I make the deal in a second, but would the Raptors make that trade? Or would the Raptors rather just have the exception?
And people think eddie griffin is thin. Keon is the same size as Langhi. he is a good shot blocker, but geting him is no different than when we had carlos. He doesn't shoot to well and is very small bulk wise. The time we would be wasting with him could be going to Griffin
Sorry to shatter dreams but...no WAY do the Raptors trade Clark for Walt Williams...a future pick or player would have to be involved...the Wizard doesn't have quite that kind of trade value, as Clark is still a young big man with loads of potential.
KG would require the rockets give up Griff and 1st rders. Minnesota is dead. They aren't quite good enough to win it all and have no way to improve as they have 1 pick in the next 4 years and the salary cap is maxxed. This would free up cap space and get picks. Not a good trade value for value, but is it better to start over at the bottom or stay mediocre (by west standards)? If I was Minnesota, I'd find something better.
good point barbourdoggie, it may be just a joke that the rockets leaked and the radio propagated... 'K'ris, lol! I guess something will have to happen soon, if it's going to happen at all. Is the deadline midnight Central?
Well, there is an hour left. I would think the Rockets are trying their best to boost the front court. However, I don't think they could get Garnett without giving up Mobley and/or Griffin with tons of draft picks. It might just be a subtle signing that would pay dividends during the year.
As the deadline looms ever nearer with still no word, it seems that we may just let the medical exception expire harmlessly. Darn that GSW team for matching Marc Jackson. I hope they only win about 10 games this year!!! Let's raise a toast to Cato's health (we're going to need it this season)! KG? ....no way!!!
Yeah, he has so much potential that the Raptors signed a 38 year old center, and dumped Clark on the bench and shopped him around the league. Clark would be a nice addition, a quality body, but you're not shattering anybody's dream.
Toronto is trying to clear out a roster spot for another guard - most likely Carlos Arroyo who has been impressive in camp. If there is a deal - it will be 2 Raptor players for one Rocket or one Raptor for a pick - possible thanks to your injury exception. ie: Brian Skinner for a 2nd round pick ---- OR ---- Eric Montross and Tracy Murray for Walt Williams ---- OR ---- Keon Clark and Tracy Murray for Walt Williams & a 1st round pick. Skinner can't be part of a package deal until Dec 15 and can only be dealt on his own. Would you gus want a 6'9" 265 ld former Baylor boy on the squad? Last year on his deal - so no overlap when Mo Taylor returns if he's not kep around. Raptors GM Glen Grunwald was just on the radio here in Toronto from 10:40 pm - 11:20 pm and made no mention of any impending deal. He did have to leave - with only 40 minutes until the Rockets deadline - but the only mention of any movement was that the team had until next Monday to make one.
