Amare had 14 dunks in that game...can't remember last time when someone had that many dunks in one game.

    Amare missed 7 free throws.

Hmmm.... He could easily ended up with 55-57 points if was able to knock to be a little more accurate at the stripe.

    Impressive nontheless.

I'm not gonna look it up but I don't think Kemp ever averaged more than 20 points a game in a season. Amare averaged 20.5 last year and is at 26.5 this year. And he DOES have post moves. He can spin off his man and hit the turnaround jumper now. He can also face up his man and create on his own. Offensively, its scary how much he's developed since his rookie year when he only had the power move to his right.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, some people are overreacting comparing him to Hakeem and saying that Duncan and Garnett can't stop him. As well as Stoudemire is playing Duncan and Garnett are STILL better all-around players then Stoudemire. Lets see Stoudemire do this for an entire season AND the playoffs before people brand him the most unstoppable player in the league and another Hakeem/Akeem.

And might I add, become a better defensive player. That really is a big liability.

With his quickness and athleticism, he should be boarding much more and blocking more.

I know this is totally irrelevant... but does anybody have a picture file of the Francis/Stoudemire confrontation last season?

For those that think Nash is the real MVP of that team, if you watched last nights game against the Wolves after Amare was tossed out, the Suns just looked terrible without Stoudamire. Almost blew that huge lead they had over the Wolves.

Nash is still the real MVP of the team although Amare is having a great year. He's the engine that makes that team go.

I hope preformances like this help put to rest the idea that high schoolers don't belong in the NBA.

I wouldn't go that far. For every Lebron or Amare, you have countless other who fail or take about 3 or 4 year to develop, which they could have done in college, like J. O'neal or T-mac

If T-Mac goes to college he doesn't become the player he is today, same thing would of happened to JO. The way I see it is that college would of helped them become great college players and then who knows what kind of NBA players they become, the NBA helped them become great NBA players. I wouldn't say countless either, there are countless college players that fail...

I'm just waiting for the day Jay Bilas and Dick Vitale stop b****ing about high schoolers and foreigners and start talking about why the talent coming out of college is getting weaker and weaker by the year.

Not sure what the %'s are of highschoolers, but I'd have to say off the top of my head more than half of the highschoolers drafted are decent. And of that half many are in the top 20 players in the league. And most of the top 10 are highschoolers. I'm a strong proponent that entering at an early age helps your game intenesely. If you play against men, you become a man much faster in my opinion.
