Always loved the first video. The second one in the thread is cool, as well... Maybe if some the younger posters on here who never got to see Dream play would check these out, we wouldn't have so many "Shaq is the best Center ever!!" or "Kobe is the best player of all time" threads...
The video in the original post is not mine, but I did use a lot of the same clips in the following video... <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Pk0MPyiJBbc&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Pk0MPyiJBbc&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Kanye West - "Never Let Me Down" ...could just Google a couple of lines of lyrics, you know. That's what I did just now
I get fired up every time I see Hakeem highlights. It was awesome having a player that put the fear of God in every team, every night.
If I had a dollar for every time Joe Kleine lost his jock trying to guard Dream I'd be a millionaire.
Thanks for bringing this up. I remember watching this in 04 like twice a day for a month. It's one of the best mixes out there.
I've always said that dunk is one of my favorite dunk highlights by Hakeem because no matter how many times I watch it, I always say "DAMN!" and think "what the hell just happened?!" It still seems that dunk defied some law of physics.
The sequence around the 5:50 mark between Dream and Max is simply insane. How anyone could watch this video and attempt to compare Hakeem to any other player is beyond my comprehension. He was unique. He remains unique. Being able to watch him grow as a player from the time he came onto the UH campus is one of the highlights of my life.
The Reagan administration was trying to implement the Star Wars/SDI combat defenses in space. Houston already had one manning the paint. lol.
Seriously. I'm in my mid 20's (don't judge) and I have a hard time watching the pansies today's NBA tries to pass as 'stars' after juxtaposing it with true athletes like Dream.
do any of y'all remember a yt vid posted long time ago w/ "Keep it on the down low" by Isley bros on the background song? i've been trying to find that vid for the longest time. no doubt the other posted vids are also great.
