Our offense will be fine. And hopfully our defense will be too once the preseason is over, but for some reason the Texans are showing an inability to tackle. And there is no excuse for that, even in a preseason game.
Sucktitude is a good word to describe the way they are playing tonight. My question is, are they just not very good or "it's preseason, why bother?"
that's the kind of thing that, even though it's a preseason game, i can't discount as a problem. i argued over and over and over again before the 2-14 season that, "it is just the preseason!!" turns out, it wasn't. the things that concerned us in the preseason were an indicator of things that should have concerned us for the regular season. i'm concerned about this defense.
it's a preseason game. Some of you guys freak out like drama queens. If this was the regular season, Schaub would have been back in the game.
The Tackling reminds me of 2005 buchanan. It's like they're not even trying. We need to trade our 3rd round pick for some disgruntled DT by next monday or else it's not going to get better for the D. It would really help if dunta just reported to duty already, even it's just on his twitter account.
Yeah, no need to freak out. But there are some concerns on the defensive end. Preseason or not, you have to be able to tackle...and the difference between how the Vikings tackle and how the Texans tackle is huge.
