JUST SHUTUP. Yao and tracy are here for the long hau. what we gotta do is surrond them with legit bench and a legit PG.
Kobe and tmac make sense. There interchangable, mcgrady won't be forced to be playmaker full time like he is now.
T-Mac is a one of a kind player. He's our most versatile offensive weapon and his passing and court vision makes everyone on the team better. As such, the problem doesn't lie with T-Mac. The problem lies with the lack of depth on our team.
McGrady to the Clippers for Elton Brand and ROCKETS HEROES SAM I AM and Cat Mobley throw in whatever salary fillers or picks necessary to get it done!
Add an Andre Miller or Steve Francis or Mike James to the team, get a better PF.... Or trade Yao. The Bulls have cap space (after July 1) and great young players and NY's Top 10 pick. Yao would be better in the East.
In defense of the person who started this thread, it should be obvious to everyone that there is ZERO chance that Les Alexander would trade away the economic value that having Yao Ming on this team creates. Above even the glory of winning a championship, Les Alexander owns this team to make money. Plain and simple. So the trade Yao postings (for all of their merits because the post-injury version of Yao is limited and weak and he got owned this series) are pointless. So unless David Stern forces a trade of Yao to the Lakers by promising Les that the Rockets get to draft Li Jianlin and that he's actually a good player, trading Yao is simply not going to happen. However, I can envision several scenarios in which Les Alexander would be willing to trade TMac (who didn't elevate his game to the extent he needed to, who has a balky back despite his witch doctor with the magnets, and who is older than his age and a shadow of his former self).
He will be in three years. Guess which Rockets player comes off the books then?? We need to win 1 ring while he is here and I'm happy
Honestly, I don’t see Mcgrady having much trade value. He’s a fragile player that has never had any playoff success. I think your best bet at getting any value for him would be to trade him to a team like Boston or Minnesota for their lottery pick and a couple of starters. They are teams that have superstar players (Garnett and Pierce) wanting immediate help. Perhaps a trade to the Celtics for #2 pick (Kevin Durant)+Al Jefferson
