we don't need a GREAT PG or PF. had alston just shoot 43-44%, then he was the perfect PG. so if we get a mike james and trade rafer for him (i dont think minny likes him), we got that position covered. as much as tmac doesn't like mike james going off in his own world at times, mike is still a good team player. and he can create his own shot. even chucky atkins would not hurt. at least they can shoot.

i think hayes is fine as a PF on this team but as a back up. getting a guy like milsap or somone in the draft like him would do wonders. he hustles like hayes but can put up some pts by himself. again not a great or even good player, just a decent player.

when u have 2 superstars (though i doubt most of the L think yao is a superstar), u just need ppl who can make shots when they're OPEN and do the little things.

and i dont want to trade yao unless we get duncan, KG back, which we won't. yao is an asset b/c he's still young and he can only improve. this series exposes the things yao needs to improve. w/ yao's work ethic, i know he will.

again, give it one more yr. tmac's back seems to be fine now. he works hard this offseason and regains his offensive prowess. we're set.

this was NOT the offensive playoff tmac. i expected more. hopefully he'll work on his J this summer and he'll deliver next yr

Well maybe a KG type player out east...For Yao we could probably get J O'neal and granger or something...Just a thought!

Like you said, with Yao you are limited to the offensive set you play...therefore no matter what kind of offensive genius you have, you will only play the low post offense. Given that, wouldn't you rather have a coach like Gundy who stresses defense all the time?

jermaine o'neal? are u kidding me? he's a big man that shoots 44%. if u want that, then get this playoff yao. please.

if ur a good big man, at least shoot 52-53%. yao this season only shot 50% so he can still improve.

good one. that would work to compensate for tmac. but u need ALL those things to happen to replace mac's value. redd for scoring and law for playmaking.

I like the idea of Redd and a #1 for T-Mac. Redd would be dynamite with Yao. After Oden and Durant is there a can't miss PF in the draft?

i don't believe any sane team will risk a blockbuster trade on mcgrady's back.

Dumb thread... It's not McGrady's fault the Rockets lost. They need a third scoring threat, like the Spurs and Suns.

It really is. When the rox were 20-12 without the so called best center in the league, it was no problem and t-mac was the toast. The Rox get into the playoffs with a team they were even against and the role players get exposed and its tracy's fault. I know Tracy has his issues just like evryone else, but other than Kobe, who is asked to do as much as Tracy? How about the biggest guy in the league having more than 6 rebs? How about having a player that doesn't need tracy to get a shot like Ricky Davis,SF3, or even a low cost option the rox could have gotten in mike james. How about having a guy plauing the 4 that can do a little more. I thought this team was flawed and until they adress or get out of their head that Yao can't carry this team for long stretches and that there are 16 ppg left on the floor for a guy the better the team will be.

haha, ur DREAMING. thats a fair trade for tmac considering his back, but again, redd is as one-dimensional as it gets. he only scores. that's it.
