HATER Stephens was always going to A&M. I will bet you anything you want A&m has a better class and is in the top 25. Also, no **** a&m offered first and they went to ut. Do you want to go to the defending national champs or to a 5-6 team with a terrible coach. We have derek stephens who mack is trying to steal. So you didn't get everyone
He is a loser, he just hates on everything A&M. Just like Bigtexx and UT. He even uses the word aggy. Totally lame. Maybe I should start saying TU or Teasip, I don't want to be a douchebag though.
I guess now you know how irritating it is when people bash your school just because they hate it, not that they have any type of substance to back it up, they just don't like them.
It's not hate young fellow. I'm simply offering a truth serum. But if you won't have some than at least consider some Splenda for the Texas A&M Kool-Aid. With the exception of Michael Goodson you had your 2006 class set long before that abortion of a season. It was Michael Goodson who procured you a top 25 class ranking, otherwise your looking up at TTech. Your recent class is a direct reflection on your 2004 season when you finished with a winning 7 - 4 record only to be manhandeled by Tennesse in the Cotton Bowl. Winning or loosing seasons, for the general part, affect recruiting the following year. Know take a look at a US map and you'll see that A&M is surrounded by 3 of the last 6 National Champions. OU to the north, LSU to the east, and Texas to the West. Mix in TTech and Baylor and you know have 5 schools competing for the best in-state players. And don't forget Notre Dame who hired former Longhorn coah Michael Haywood with the specific reason to lay a pipeline into Texas. So it's not just "Do you want to go to the defending national champs or to a 5-6 team", it also Do you want to go to a winning LSU/OU/ND team?; Do you wanna go to a better coached, though desolate, TTech team?; or do you wanna go to an up and comming, better coached Baylor team?. When I say that your now competing with the likes of Rice, I'm not hyperbolizing. That's your competition. A 1-10 Rice team who just hired a Longhorn legend as an OC and is subsequently one of Mack Browns favorite alumni. You don't think he's gonna push some player his way? He will. He's been pushing Texas players to other schools ever since 1999. You know exactly what I'm talking about. Conclusion: Various winning programs going after Texas players + a 5-7 season + bad coach + unattractive location = recruiting class no better than Rice.
Keep dreaming hater. We were in the mix for many good players following our cotton bowl season. Some switched (malcom williams) or dropped us after the subpar season. Since we are so bad , how did we get goodsoon? How have we already gotten the two stephens guys? If we have a good season this year (i am confident we will) then the recruits will come.
Typical kool-aid induced halucination. You got Goodson only after OKST recinded on the offer. No official comfirmation as to why, but very sordid and disgusting rumors coming out of Oklahoma. UT ship sailed a long time ago so no taker there. Would have gone to USC but saw the RB commitments and finally settled on A&M. Both Stephans were at our Junior day this weekend only 1 (Derrick Stephens) got an official offer. Bradley Stephens upon hearing he was not gonna get an offer settled on A&M. Pony up $10 per month for any recruiting web service and you can watch Derrick Stephens decommit from A&M in real time.
I already do "pony up", he will be an aggie. I don't care why goodsoon commited, he is going to be a stud at A&M. Also, wasn't UT trying to get in on goodsoon late? Yea thought so. We will have another top 25 recruiting class. It will be trash compared to UT's but there is nothing we can do about that untill we got on the field next year. With Mcgee, Lane, Goodson, Martellus and Courtney Lewis our offense will be explosive; it will be up to the defense to play well.
He's supposed to be the top DE in state, and should play alongside Eddie Jones, Andre Jones, and Lamarr Houston on the D-line. Not bad, considering two years ago we were forced to start a spun down Eric Hall at DE.
In college ball especially, if you have a top ten O-line you're most likely going to be a top ten team. If you have the dominant O-line, there's a damn good chance you'll play for the championship.
