WOW. why on earth would i make up a mario williams went to the men's club story? give me a break, i don't feel the need to make up bbs internet bullsh!t for attention. i didn't even think it was a big deal, which is why i didn't make a new thread on it. matt, i'm sure one of your sources told you that the texans' plane landed at 3 am but you or your source is flat-out wrong. the man walked in the men's club at 3, actually possibly 5 or 10 minutes earlier, me and a couple friends were right behind him. he was with 5 or 6 other guys, the manager recognized one of them, said "i saw you in the paper today, you see it?" the guy said he hadn't checked it out yet. he asked who did you bring tonight, is that mario williams, and went on to shake his hand. they all went in on the house of course. as were showing our id's the manager said i had the wrong shirt(no collar), i said, maybe if i was mario williams you'd let me in huh(he had a t-shirt on). he laughed and went ahead and let me in. men's club closes at 4 so longest he was there was an hour i guess. again don't see the big deal, apparently barkley frequented that place quite often.
Please tell me you're being sarcastic. But you're right, what is a 21 year old multi-millionaire who was just the #1 overall pick in the NFL draft doing at a strip club at 3am? We all know they should be in bed getting ready for church the next morning. Why are some of ya'll giving BigM such a hard time on this? I don't think he stumbled in at 4:15 in the morning to bs some story about seeing Mario Williams at a strip club, if he did, he might as throw in that Mario bought a lapdance for him. He could have been mistaken (I had friends who accidentally thought they met Master P at a Shell station once) but even if the plane landed around 3am, you'd probably be suprised how fast you could get to a club when you don't have to worry about your bags or traffic or anything like that.
of course, that's why i said his source was wrong. i don't see why it matters who it is, matt jackson wasn't on the texans' plane and mario definitely was not at 3 am sunday morning. he was introduced as mario williams, the manager confirmed it was mario williams, and really it's going to be pretty tough for a guy to look exactly like him and carry that height and build. he wasn't the only texan there either. like gucci said it shouldn't be hard to imagine a young millionaire finding his way to the men's club. this is the nfl fellas. i like mario, i liked the pick and i still do, i'm just passing on a sighting, nothing more.
FYI... Reggie Bush rushed four times for 9 yards tonight. I thought ESPN had already awarded him his place in Canton?
That would be 4 times for 7 yards. You would think that he had 100 yards rushing by the way ESPN was talking about him. Commenting that Reggie Bush has shown in a couple of plays what he is capable of. What with a 10 yard reception and 4 yard run? I think Bush is going to be a special back, but the ESPN Bush suck-off fest is getting out of hand.
On the stat sheet for ESPN, it says 4 rushes for 7 yards. I was watching the game...for those 2 yards he carries the ball per rush...the guy is freaking electric!!!!!
I'm curious to see if ESPN will make an excuse for him tonight on Sportscenter. I think they will. OTOH, when Vince Young went 4-11 last week (but should've been 6-11 with possibly a touchdown if two beautiful passes weren't dropped), ESPN ignored those drops and ripped him with multiple analysts proclaiming how he had "such a long way" to go. Let's see if ESPN gives Reggie the same treatment tonight, or decides to blame the blockers or focus on the one 10-yard play he had. I'm betting it'll be the latter. I don't think Reggie will be a bad player by any stretch. But I'm tired of him (and this goes back to the pre-Rose Bowl hype) being given a free pass before he's even done a single thing on the field. No other player gets that kind of treatment.
True, but the same principle applies whenever Mario has the slightest embarassing moment in any game this season. It's frustrating.
