For the run there is a lot more room for error. Also the fact that we use a zone blocking scheme for runs it lets the OL help each other out while they move and block.

Completly different when they have to hold there spot and leave a pocket for Carr. Unfortunantly we have a decent run blocking OL but not when it comes to protecting that well for Carr.

On a side note Morency is really just hitting his holes instantly. I'm liking how h e is just shooting to the holes.

yeah it is also doing an effective job of making it hard for me to find him and pinpoint how he is doing. I look at where he was the play before and he's not there hahah..

Your right though, it is definently working well and they are pressuring the QB very well.

Mario is even not only beating his man with speed, hes also pushing his man right into the QBs lap with power.

This game is really showing me one thing. Our secondary needs some real help. They are the only part of our team that is looking horible. Bulger was picking them apart and now Gus Ferotte is for gods sake.

The secondary is one of my biggest worries with this team. P-Burnt has yet to show he can be our fulltime corner and we don't have much experience or depth at both safety positions.

I would like to preface this comment by first saying, yeah I know it is only preseason...

    BUT

David Carr still sucks so far. He didn't look pathetic but he still far from being a franchise quarterback. Very timid and scared looking. He is still making poor decisions and has yet to complete a long pass down the field. I had hope that he would develop after they passed on hometown hero Vince Young but he is really making it tough for me not to get pissed. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE don't suck this year David Carr. Is that too much to ask for?

Ok now that I've vented...go David Carr! Hey, its either root for him or put your money on Sage Rosenfels and I am not yet on that bandwagon. When w first got this guy I was thinking who?! Rosen what? Anybody who shares their first name with a plant and a seasoning that people keep in the kitchen can't be that good right?

Oh yeah...our defensive backs also look terrible. They bring tears to my eyes and not for good reasons. I am actually terrified about how much they will get lit up this year after watching other teams parade into the endzone game after game during last year's debacle.

Jameel Cook. He's showing speed that we've never seen before. So long blocking back, hello starting tailback.

Horrible penalty call. Might as well put Ragone in a tutu.

Reggie who? Morency looked like he may have a little break away speed after all and some nice moves too. He juked somebody out of their jock strap earlier after catching a pass. Looking good so far.
