A little surprised about letting McClain walk - I don't begrudge O'Brain and Crennel for wanting to plug in their own guys and revamp a 2 win team.....but you can only replace so many holes and you are already staring at a defensive line with only one man (Watt). Crennel likes to have a real NT and power guys for DE, those don't necessarily come cheap or at the back of the draft. Will be interesting to see what they do to get two starters and backups. Love Braman, but my assumption is that they didn't see him making the transition into full time defensive player, something the last regime had a tough time with too. ST ideally is maned by backups and developing players, not (all) full time specialists. With Posey, Hopkins, Dre, there was no surprise about Jean.
4 tweets he was touring , then this one? So I guess Smith re - signed. Fantastic, I did not think we could afford him. What's the deal for money wise?
I think Pancakes was referencing Antonio's previous 5 year deal. He's still an FA and probably a goner.
McCain was one of the most disappointing players last year. He got a new 3-year contract last year and was supposed to solidify that nickle CB spot. He couldn't stop a guy from picking up the necessary yardage to keep the chains moving. Big time let down. I hope he goes to Indy
McCLain. The defensive end. Which is why emjohn was talking about other defensive linemen (or the lack of other defensive linemen).
