I'm surprised that the Brewers are 11-6 in extra inning games with that bullpen. Being used to playing in all those tight games could be a plus for them if they make the playoffs.
how dumb are these announcers? "the Brewers won't lose any ground if they lose tonight" they actually said it.
That's because they mean they won't lose any ground on the Cubs. They probably don't even realise they might not win the wild card lol I also loved their complaining about balls and strikes all night. Great stuff
Very possible, Landlord. There are some fools out there. This was a big one for the Stros with Sabathia and Sheets up next.
Arroyo has pitched well recently. Anything can happen but the odds are on CC's side against anybody these days.
Surely CC has to have a bad game sometime. I'm going to go ahead and put the jinx on him now. the old voodoo jinx. Sabathia will have a bad outing tomorrow...count on it.
4 games back. This is just unbelievable. The other comebacks were wild...but this one just snuck up on you.
I'm watching Baseball Tonight and Karl Ravech is trying to insert the Astros into the wildcard discussion but they all seem pretty engaged with the Cardinals right now. What they don't get is that the Cards have played just as bad as the Brewers lately and that the cards are getting wins against the Cubs who have struggled more than them. The Astros and the Phils are the only guys in the NL WC hunt playing winning ball right now.
I wouldnt count on the Reds beating Sabathia tomorrow, but if the Astros keep beating the teams they're supposed to beat in September (14 of last 17 vs PIT,CIN,ATL,FLA) then this thing could really get interesting. We can just watch STL, PHI and MIL beat up on each other. Boy, who thought a month ago a Sept 12-14 series vs the Cubs would mean something? Lets just keep winning, baby.
