I'm sure pitchers have pitched a shutout while leading their team in rbi's, but having faced the minimum really makes it unlikely. Pugs
OMG 3 back now. Oswalt has been a beast since getting back healthy. Yes we can baby. I'm believing now.
Yeah, they're USA caps. The caps are blue and the logo is red and white with maybe some stars in it. It doesn't show up on the Astros logo too well. They wore them on the 4th of July as well.
tell me we're not just 3 games behind. someone please tell me that. please quit ****ing with my emotions!!!
For you fans that continued to watch the Astros on a daily basis when they were out of it and had no chance. I salute you. I guess I'm a fairweathered fan.
It's understandable. They were pretty damn bad. Mostly I kept watching because summer tv sucks. I didn't really think they had a chance to get over .500, let alone being within range of the playoffs.
i've watched nearly every weeknight game this year, and most of the weekend ones but I love baseball and I like watching regardless of the record. This is certainly more fun though!
On Baseball Tonight, they just said that Roy Oswalt has the best Sept/Oct regular season record EVER. This just in...Roy Oswalt is good.
I'm glad you finally realized that after, what, 7 or 8 years of ming-numbingly vapid the-world-is-coming-to-an-end-the-Astros-suck posts. Good on you.
did you guys hear roy on sportscenter? talking about the brewers: "well the pressures on them...they have to win every night" wooooo! thats exactly what I want to hear! The Brewers are the ones that should be worried!
and...the astros have nothing to lose...all of this is gravy at this point. there were no expectations of this for quite a while. the brewers however...have been in control in the WC hunt...and been chasing up for the division. they're spiraling down and they're choking. they can still salvage it, but they've been losing with great frequency against bad teams when it counts most.
