that's Cowboy and Jaguar propaganda. Most modern historians put him next to Nelson Mandela and Malcolm X in terms of his contributions to the black community.
That is the most Madden Superstar answer of all-time. Evans strikes me as Abreu-ish... Big name; incredible credentials; best days behind him. And... he strikes me as an older Nico Collins. I'm not sure he is what makes this offense better.
Don't think we need Evans...or at least not spend the amount it'll take to get him. Rather use that money on a RB, like Barkley, and DL. Just draft a downfield reciever to compliment Nico and Tank, and an upgrade to RB will help CJ tremendously compare to signing Evans. Like the guy and a great HOF receiver, but I just feel at this stage where the Texans are at...he doesn't really improve the team as much as getting a better RB.
In my mind the only question on the ST triumvirate of Fairbairn, Johnson and Weeks is whether the wish to play another year. I think Week's signing makes all three likely.
For a record setting 57th season! But seriously, I'm surprised that more hasn't been made of his tenure and longevity. He set the record for most seasons playing for the Texans last year with his 13th passing Andre Johnson. He LONG ago set the record for most games in a Texans uniform at 227 (again surpassing Andre at 167). He's never missed a game.
