To me, he's looked better. He's not been giving up many runs, but seems to be walking more (though not as much as July), striking out slightly less than he was earlier. In July, batters were able to elevate balls a lot and consequently hit a lot of homers. The homers have stopped which has helped him a lot, but he still needs to start limiting the walks if he doesn't want another setback.
I've been so busy with the flooding, work to help those get power restored due to the hurricane, helping family move...today was my first day in over a week to even checkup on the Astros. I had no idea we claimed him. I was shocked and elated!
And there goes the 3-2 pitch. Going back back back goneeee! Cameron MayBin Laden droppin bombs into the Crawford boxes.
Is Marwin going to play 1st? I'd rather have White in there instead of Maybin and Marwin in the outfield. But other than that, that's a line-up of death.
2nd series in a row Castor hasn't been around for. Anyone know if he was affected by the floods? Also, saw Fiers has officially been sent to the pen. Chron article said Peacock will get one more start before heading back there, too.
Keuchel-Verlander-McCullers might be the best 1-2-3 ever. Clemens declined in the postseason. Small sample size, but LMC, Keuchel have done great, and Verlander improves from regular season. How good was 3rd with Nolan-Scott-____? Mike could be The Ace of everyone though.
Richard never pitched postseason, so that's fantasy. Seems he'd be great though. Knepper's resume doesn't match any of Keuchel-Verlander-McCullers. Good franchise history. "Others"?
