I'm a Texans fan! I'm NOT a Carr fan. That's saying alot too since I'm a woman (and apparently we are all supposed to like him by default--since I can't find any Texans gear for women without an 8 on it!!! ). haha. Get his pretty boy a** out of here!!!!!!!! Please!!! All I want for Christmas is a new QB!
i am a Texan fan but I am sick and tired of this shiat, this team has major issues and now I know how the fans in Clev and Ariz have felt all these years. It baffles me how management and players can be so bad, I am quite sure any number of us on this board could have a better product in Houston after five years. It is like the team is run by, and fields a bunch of morons and it isn't getting any better. /85 million angry faces
Sure it is. We have Demeco, Daniels and possibly two starting OL from the last draft, not to mention a promising pass rusher in Mario. We're going to start over at QB next season and things can only get better.
That is a great idea... I suggest we offer the Titans - Mario W, David C, and our next two #1 picks for VY My bad- VY is untouchable.
This thread would be much better if it came with a soundtrack of guys humming the Battle Hymn Of The Republic...
What about a bunch of goofy high school kids performing it? <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/OL2VAOJStMw"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/OL2VAOJStMw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> "If we had no winter, the spring would not be so pleasant: if we did not sometimes taste of adversity, prosperity would not be so welcome." I live in Indiana and I am a die hard Texans fan. I wear my Mario Williams jersey and Texans hat proudly. I don't care what happens, I'm a fan.
Btw- Don't know how I missed this... I'm a Texans fan 'cause Houston runs through my veins. I live north of Dallas in Plano... and it's hard to hardly 1% of Texans coverage, but I sport my Texans hats and shirts... even have the chrome car decals... I will always root for Houston, period. Even after Vince pulls a fairy tale ending victory off in OT. That won't happen every time down here. Big whoop. Rosters will change... the Texans will improve. Even Tampa Bay has seen the Superbowl... and won.
Yes I am. The guy hasn't shown that he can come in and dominate a game like you expect out of a #1 pick. The Tennessee O-Line is horrible. How many sacks did he get yesterday? How many does he have on the season? Stop drinking the kool-aid and look at it from an objective standpoint. Hell, if they took Ryans #1 overall, it would've been better.
I'm not arguing that the guy should've been the number one pick. As a Texans fan, I'm moving past that because despite what people are hoping, we're not all of the sudden going travel back in time to April 2006. Mario has shown flashes. This is while playing on a defensive line that now has two starters who weren't even in the league on Opening Day. Our defense has been vastly improved since the first few games.
I'm not saying the Defense as a whole hasn't improved. What I'm saying is drafting Mario number one didn't make that happen. You can choose to forget every wrong decision this team makes but sooner or later you'll have to realize that this team will not get better until the mindset changes. That's why I'm glad VY took it for 40 yards to the house. McNair needs to see that poor decisions do haunt you.
Are you saying he hasn't contributed to the improved defense at all? Or I can choose to look at the positives. We picked the DROY in the second round, two possible starters on the OL, and picked up a promising TE. Regardless of who we selected with the first pick, the 2006 draft was a very good one for the Texans.
I think halfbreed's wrong if that's what he's saying, but at the same time I can kind of see his point. I'm really, really, REALLY hoping that Mario's injury is hindering him right now. Because if the knock on him from college is that he only 'showed up' occasionally and was a non-factor some games, then that has continued into the pros. At this point, Ryans seems to bring it every game and make some soft of impact on a regular basis. You can't really say the same thing about Mario. Having said that - he is injured, and certainly he has the talent. I would figure him to be a solid player for this team for a long, long time.
By saying he doesn't look promising, that's what he's saying, IMO. Of course the injury is playing a role as well as having a subpar interior DL.
